Jonathan has been teaching my son for about a month and the experience has been wonderful. My son has been taking lessons for many years, but wasn't improving the last couple of years, until Jonathan came into the picture. I'm glad we were able to connect through Thumbtack!
Tanya got back to me right after I contacted her. My first three guitar lessons with Vince have been great. He is very knowledgeable and and is an excellent musician
Sharon has been my son's music teacher for a year and a half. My son being only 2 years old when we started, was doing a kindermusic class that he LOVED. Now that we he 3 1/2 Sharon has evolved the class for my son to include piano and learning the basics of music so that if he so chooses to play an instrument he will have a great foundation! I highly recommend Sharon and Moonlight Piano Studios. Her patience and love for children and music is absolutely beautiful to watch!
Music lessons are not only for children! I took piano lessons as a child and have always regretted my decision to stop taking lessons. As a new retiree, I decided that I might like to take piano lessons again. I found Nathan through Thumbtack, and he called me to discuss lessons. Although I was not sure I really had the courage to start all over with piano lessons, Nathan was so supportive and enthusiastic when he called that I instantly felt comfortable and agreed to meet Allison for my first lesson. I have now taken six weeks of lessons with Allison, and I am THRILLED! Allison is so enthusiastic, kind, and supportive, and I am making progress faster than I could have ever hoped. I am so grateful to have a second chance to learn to play the piano and feel blessed to be able to work with Allison and Nathan. Thank you!
Great with all ages, Julie helps keep my twin girls excited about practicing the piano for their next weeks lesson.
As an adult, I was a bit nervous to start taking piano lessons again after quitting sometime during high school. However, Angela was a consistent, godly, very encouraging teacher, and I loved taking lessons from her!
My daughter has been with Eighty-Eight Keys for 6 years, and Melissa is fantastic. She's experienced, professional & fun. She has become more than a piano instructor to us... she's also a friend. My daughter does not need prompting to practice her lessons, as she thoroughly enjoys and respects Melissa. I highly recommend Eighty-Eight Keys! - Maggie Guenzler
My son Hayes, has been attending PMI for several months now. Initially we began our music lessons playing the guitar. During that time my son decided he wanted to do piano instead of guitar. During his piano lessons, he has found a passion for it. Josh has done a terrific job with Hayes and has fueled his passion for piano we feel lucky to have him as an instructor. And I personally recommend him and encourage you to look Into to lessons with Mr. Josh. We look toward to our continued success with Josh and PMI. Thank you, Tim Davis
Miss Anna is an inspiration to my student and a wealth of knowledge and experience in music. As a parent of a young musician, motivation is imperative. Miss Anna provides enthusiasm during the lesson as well as incentives to practice at home. She is thorough in her instruction and runs her lessons in a timely manner. My child has flourished under her teaching. We look forward to many more years with her!
Piano lessons. The lessons were very linear and helped me to build technique from the ground up. Every concept was explained and demonstrated effectively.
My son Jason studied piano with Nikki Sipe for 2 years. I was very impressed with Nikki's patience and how smoothly her lessons were conducted. Jason stayed focused the whole time, which was no easy task for a high energy kid like him! Nikki kept him engaged for the entire lesson, and made sure he understood what was being taught before moving on.
A piano lesson is a moment to explore different ways to combine both physical movement, intellectual understanding and emotion. During classes, we try to make music possible, and that is always a joyful moment. Classical repertory is my preference, but I am open to other music too. During classes, we work on the following: * Internalization of musical idea before playing * Playing without excessive muscular tension * Relation between movement, sensation and idea * Reading and musical analysis * Perceptive awareness

I started playing piano when I was four. By 14, I had played for weddings and other formal receptions. In high school and college, I began teaching anyone from beginners to more advanced levels, working both with my own preferred books and ones the students brought me. Though I am only 19 now, I have solid experience, especially with younger kids, and am fun to work with, so everyone has a good, fun, and enjoyable learning experience. My pricing is negotiable with age and standing abilities with the piano.
Have you been wanting to start an instrument? Perhaps you would like your child to be more musical, and try out the cello. Well, here is your chance to take beginner cello lessons at a very affordable price! I have played the cello for 17 years. I minored in music, with a proficiency in cello, for my bachelor's degree, and am now working on a MEd in elementary education. I have also played in several orchestras here in the upstate. Music requires order and rules, but it is also an avenue for creativity and individuality. My goal is to teach my students the rules, while fostering a love and passion for music as an art form.
