FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to murals I typically charge $20 per square foot depending on the complexity of the design. Half payment up front, and the second half due on the final day of painting. (In most cases my price is All Inclusive.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When starting with a new customer it is helpful to learn a bit about them; their likes dislikes, what their purpose of the mural that is to be painted is going to represent, and any & all images and photographs they have to share with me of their vision. These photos and ideas help more than any customer could ever realize! I always try and stress to a customer, "You CAN'T share too many pictures with me!". Like I said I am a visual learner, and I want to get this mural just right, better than they imagined!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended more colleges for art before I graduated high school than after. I attended Tri-District Arts Consortium at Columbia College, for 3 weeks every summer from 1995-98. The summer before my senior year of high school I attended the Kaleidoscope program at Winthrop, where I gained a wealth of knowledge from professors all over the state that taught their college Freshman art courses in a condensed form. Yet those courses helped me obtain the Art fundamentals that I refer to, even to this day.
