- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been a data-driven nerd. I went to college for Information Technology and ended up with a dual degree with IT and Psychology. After all - how effective can technology be if people aren't able to use it? Common sense, but that's not all to prevalent in the tech space. One of my best (and most brilliant) friends started Flow Simple, and it was an easy decision to partner with her to build an agency that rocks.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We start with pay-per-click (PPC/Adwords). That's where you'll see your best return. We provide ancillary services too, but Ads on the top page of Google simply can't be beat.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are a few things that are very important to ask an Internet Marketing agency (especially one managing your PPC/Adwords campaigns). 1. Do they charge a setup fee? 2. Do they have a long-term contract? 3. What type of reporting will they be doing? Ask for a sample report. The report should be delivered in a format with words you can understand. 4. Confirm that you own all the data in your account. You want direct access to the advertising account so they can't take that data with them if you decide to leave. 5. REFERENCES! I can't stress this enough. We love to give potential clients a list of references for them to call. You can learn what it's like to work with the agency and also ask what the results have been.
