FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up having pictures taken of my sister and I. My mom was obsessed. We went to session after session from the time I was born until I left the house. Their walls show the proof of the investment. When I was in middle school, my dad purchased a DSLR and let me play with it frequently. We soon found out that even at a young age, I had an eye for photography. I begged and begged for a DSLR throughout high school, but it wasn't until my sophomore year of college that my parents bought me one. I studied abroad for a semester in Vienna, Austria, so Europe was my canvas for three whole months. I was in heaven. Throughout college, I took my camera everywhere and documented every major moment. I will forever be grateful for those memories that are permanently captured on film. I am excited about continuing to pursue my passion of photography as I build my business!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask a lot of questions about their style and what is included in the packages. Don't be afraid to ask to see a lot of their work, even if it's not in the scope of what you're looking for. For example, if you are looking for a wedding photographer, you can ask to see pictures of landscapes or architecture or family photos, etc. You can get a pretty good feel of their style by seeing a broad range of what they shoot.
