Introduction: I recently graduated from Bob Jones University with both a BMus and a MMus in piano pedagogy. Prior to college, I earned a high school diploma in music from the National Guild of Piano Teachers, and competed annually in state competitions and festivals. During my college years, I performed in multiple recitals, performance classes, and various other venues. I also taught weekly lessons and classes in a four-year internship through the Bob Jones Academy and University. I offer both private and group lessons to beginning and intermediate students of all ages. I also offer private hymn improvisation lessons and music theory tutoring (in addition to the music theory included in private lessons). Contact me for interviews and more information!

As a parent, you want a teacher who knows how to train your specific child, at what level your child currently plays, what level your child can attain, and how to lead your child to that level. Mollie learned from instructors like this and teaches her students similarly. Her studio is a welcome addition to the teaching community.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the teacher has good credentials and is willing to deliver quality service. You are paying the teacher for a purpose, so be willing to learn, but also hold the teacher to a high (yet attainable) standard. Don't expect miracles immediately; be willing to put in the work it takes to learn an instrument, but identify achievable goals and allow the teacher to help you work towards those goals.
