Introduction: Forensic Accounting/Fraud Investigation/Business Consultation/Internal Auditing Most of the services detailed below can be performed remotely. 1) Fraud Investigation - I am a Certified Fraud Examiner and have experience in many different industries, including family law. I investigate financial fraud for businesses and some individuals. I provide income/asset valuation and search services for family law/probate cases. I can provide asset searches if you have a legitimately obtained SSN and a valid reason for the search (divorce, fraud investigation). I cannot provide financial account statements - you need an attorney and a subpoena to do that. I also don't provide background checks, business valuation, or surveillance services. I help businesses set up well-controlled accounting procedures that will prevent (or quickly detect) errors, fraud, and embezzlement. I can also coach business owners/managers through an initial fraud investigation if they suspect that they are being embezzled by an employee. I can help them decide whether to contact law enforcement, file civil charges, terminate the employee, and/or improve their procedures to prevent future embezzlement and theft. 2) Business Consulting - As a fraud investigator I have a lot of experience with messy accounting records. I am a problem-solver and frequently hired to dig into an accounting system to solve (accounting) issues that are causing problems or confusion for the business.
