The Job was to pressure wash a mobile home, with attached front and back porch. Upon completion, I asked Miss Linda was everything to her satisfaction? She replied, yes. She stated, for future reference, some water had entered the exhaust hood, but luckily landed on the stove top. Worried water was present; I offered to do any cleanup, if needed. She stated, it had been a small amount and wiped it off with a dish rag. I apologized for any inconvenience and found a solution for any reoccurrence. She was more complimentary of the final appearance, and the mold being removed, so I had no reason to pursue the issue any further. While present, Miss Linda also wanted an outbuilding pressure washed. Since she felt paying to have it pressure washed was not feasible, I agreed to pressure wash the building in exchange for a metal planter sitting beside the house. I completed the job. I asked, was she satisfied with the work? she replied, yes. While loading up my equipment, Miss Linda inquired about having the building and concrete driveway pad approximately 12'x34' painted as well. I explained some measurements and figuring were needed for an accurate price. After researching, I notified Miss Linda, of the price as she requested. She was not happy with the price so I explained in detail how I came up with the price. I offered for her to view the contractor website, so she could see I was charging well below the recommended rate. I explained to Miss Linda the concrete pad would have to be pressure washed first, in a multi-step process. She claimed, I should have washed the concrete, because I had washed the building. I kindly explained that was not mentioned or included. It was unfortunate a misunderstanding occurred. To prevent any future misunderstandings, I will include all verbal agreement details in writing.
