scam artist at large Deborah Gunter and southern horsemanship is the furthest thing from a professional horse trainer you can get. The only thing she is a professional at is a professional scam artist and liar. My dealings were the exact same as these other reviews. She begin the transaction as a very hands on and appeared caring person, that all changed when I confronted her after purchasing a horse that had been made out to be a perfect husband horse but was no more then green at best. Instead of following her word that she would refund the money is now been going on a year and still nothing! Anyone looking to buy anything from her should just go to the circuit Court online records for her areas and just see the 20+ fraud, assault and battery, theft, and multiple other cases against her.

Very friendly and convincing. Easy to believe, but definitely not honest. In short (very short) bought a horse sold as beginner safe that was far from that. This was a horse she admitted to having owned for years. Arrived with horrendous thrush, bad teeth, underweight, fearful, and with mismatched shoes. We're talking one slider and one keg shoe on his hinds. Whip marks around his head and haunches, she claimed were scars from a previous owner she rescued him from have magically disappeared. They were slightly old wounds, not scars. Have a good idea why he went so calmly at her place and was different elsewhere. When vet went to give him Banamine for mild colic, she was shocked. His veins on both sides of his neck were blown. He'd been injected so many times he had the veins of a heroin junkie.

First of all, Angela L must be one of her barn friends who helps her deceive the unaware honest horse people looking for help with their horses. She owes me $2500.00. This has been a few years. Wish I had checked the court records as well. There will always be bad KARMA following her until she does right by those she's done wrong. I intend to keep spreading the word to other trainers and put it out there as often as I can. She has no integrity and if she does you can best believe she stole it from somebody. Pay the people back there money. I would hate to leave this world with the baggage you're carrying. Too late to make it right then. Here's to sleepless nights and a heavy heart.

Potential buyers beware! Criminal background in 4 SC counties. Larceny, fraud, and multiple others. Have read other reviews of scamming people out of their money.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask to come out and see facility and horses they have trained. Look for the horse to have no fear or reactiveness to what the trainer is asking the horse for.
