- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have an hourly rate that I use as a guideline for weddings and engagement sessions. However, I like to tailor the pricing to each client since everyone is different and has different needs! I typically have a flat rate for real estate and portrait photography sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to hear about each client I work with and what their needs are for that specific type of photography they are looking for. Once I can get a grasp of what you're looking for, I know what to offer customers tailored services to meet their needs. I am open to discussion about options like the number of hours, amount of photos, delivery of photos, etc. I also typically conduct conversations with clients through email or the phone. If a client is really interested in my photography services, I like to meet them over a coffee or skype session to introduce myself and get to know them. I believe that comfortability with your photographer really makes for the best photos! Once I meet the customer at the shoot, I like to have a conversation to get the feel of the location and specific photos they would like.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional wedding photographer & photo editor. I was trained at both of these jobs thoroughly through a company I worked for out of Colorado for years. I learned from some of the best wedding photographers in the industry! I also learned portrait, boudoir and event photography through this company. I have been working as a professional photographer/editor for over four years spanning these various specialties. I obtained my major in Strategic Communications and minor in Emergent Digital Practices at the University of Denver, where I learned all about conducting business through online platforms as well as computer programs such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to deliver the best possible images and services to clients. I was trained by a professional real estate photographer in Colorado and learned to deliver high quality still images and HDR style photos to clients in timely manner. I am also a proud member of the National Association of Professional Women which provides links to other professional women spanning many different industries.
