FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. Choosing the right company and products can save you more money in the long run than choosing the cheapest company right now. here are some examples- Landscaping/Landscape Design: Choosing the wrong plant for the spot can lead to costly disease control and pesticides; or maybe costly plant removal if the plant out grows it's location. Make sure your landscaper understands what you are intending your level of maintenance, desired function, and future plans for your yard. Irrigation: No one likes wasting water. A true professional will try to only water what grows (no sidewalks, etc.) and make sure that the irrigation is effectively meeting the plant requirements. Too much water results in diseases and pests, not enough water can result in sever drought stress and possibly plant mortality. Make sure your professional understands irrigation uniformity, avoids wasted water through run off, and plant requirements. Hardscaping: Most patios, sidewalks and retention walls fail due to improper base prep. It is also good to know what your future intentions are; it is hard to pick up a patio and move it to the other side of the yard. If you building an outdoor kitchen, make sure you use a material that resists grease stains, or a color that grease won't be noticeable on. Lawn Maintenance: Most disease and pests can be prevented due to proper plant maintenance. Don't let your professional cut your grass too short, or infrequently. Proper fertility will make plants healthy enough to fight off diseases; too much and we feed the disease, too little and the plant doesn't have the nutrients to fend for itself.
