Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: First and foremost I try to treat my clients the way I would want to be treated if I were paying someone to do the job my client is paying me to do. I will complete the project as specified or stay as long as need be to get the clients satisfaction of a job well done. My craftsmanship and attention to detail standards is higher than a lot of builders I have seen in the last 10 years. Do you really want to hire an outfit that employs only recently entered immigrants at $5/hour to do a job you expect to last at the least 5 years. Well, most GC's do that now and charge you the same no matter what so they can make more money. If a GC pulls up to your project driving a 2016 $60,000 fully loaded Ford Diesel Truck, and his crew pulls in behind him all crammed into an old 1984 Chevy beater work truck, that should be a clue. These immigrants are even told not to put the required amount of fasteners (nails, screws, staples, etc.) that code requires just to pinch even more pennies from you. The GC will still charge you the same amount as if they had followed building codes and not pass the savings on to you. I really enjoy the look on a clients face when you have provided a service they have envisioned in their minds and you were able to produce exactly what they had in mind, or more than what they had envisioned. That look is like what a child looks like on Christmas morning when they get exactly what they asked Santa for. I also would rather work outdoors and for myself than in some factory for 10 different bosses because that is how it is in a factory.
