FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Art, Photography and Theater all come naturally to me. I never dreamed that I would become a face painter. I don't think it is something one plans. I started by assisting someone at a festival and discovered that I am really good at it and I love the interaction and creativity. So many folks told me that I was great at it and aught to market myself. So, here I am.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Restaurants catering to kids, Birthday Parties, Princess Parties, Mardi Gras, Sports Events, Festivals, Church Events, Vacation Bible School, Grand Openings, Family Fun Days, Corporate Family Days, Fall Festivals, Charity Events, Street Parties and much more!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Parents can be challenged in their search for great people to work with their children who have special needs. Janet is one of those great people, and we were lucky to find her. She taught our son, who is on the autism spectrum, the fundamentals of photography. Although sometimes reluctant to participate in any extracurricular activity, my son looked forward to his lessons with Janet. She always found a way to engage him whether it was photographing panoramic shots of the sea or setting up a tripod. I believe she can do it because she not only has the passion for art but the patience and kindness needed to adapt her lessons to the needs of her student. Shortly after starting his weekly lessons, Janet encouraged my son to enter his first photo contest, a city-wide competition. For a child who has struggled with a number of challenges, it was a thrill for him (and his parents!) to come away successful in that endeavor. Janet is a caring professional who I would recommend to work with (and inspire) children and adults, with or without special needs. Very truly yours, Jo Ann
