Rodney Whitehouse of Cardinal was one of the highlights of our home buying experience. His attention to detail during our inspection process was great. If you compare his sample inspections to other companies, you'll find just how thorough he is. It's not just check boxes -- its a detailed and very well explained report of everything, including specific photos and even videos in our case. And our inspection report was right in line with the samples he shares on the Cardinal website as far as details go. He and his colleague, Ray, took great care in explaining every facet of our new home and pointed out problems to be aware of. They took their time and made sure I understood everything in the report. Rodney was also very quick to respond to all of our emails and phone calls. After the inspection was over, he even helped us with additional Wind Mitigation forms we needed for insurance reasons. He is worth every penny -- and his price is very competitive to others in his field. I feel very secure knowing what I know now about our home, thanks to Rodney and his professionalism. I would recommend Rodney to everyone who is in search of a home inspector. If you're shopping around, your search should end here with him...I wouldn't have spent the time to write this review if I truly believed otherwise.Feb 7, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Buying a home is probably the most expensive purchase you’ll ever make. This is no time to shop for a cheap inspection. The cost of a home inspection is very small relative to the value of the home being inspected. The additional cost of hiring a Cardinal Inspector® is almost insignificant by comparison. You’ve been recently crunching the numbers—shopping for a mortgage, adding up closing costs, and trying to get the best deals. Don’t stop now. Don’t let your real estate agent, a “patty-cake” inspector, or anyone else talk you into skimping on the home inspection. Cardinal Inspectors® perform the best inspections by far. Cardinal Inspectors® earn their fees many times over. As the most qualified inspectors, they do more, they deserve more, and—yes—they generally charge a little more. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for the quality inspection you deserve so that you can make a confident decision with peace of mind.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? If possible we like to meet with you at the home and go over any concerns that you may have about the property prior to the inspection. We provide a written report with photos and repair recommendations within 24 hours of the inspection, but there is no substitute for onsite communications.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?SC Licensed Home Inspector SC Licensed Electrical Contractor Certified Mold Inspector (National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors) Certified Home Inspector (American Society of Home Inspectors) Certified Home Inspector (National Association of Certified Home Inspectors) Certified Electrical Engineering Technology (Trident Technical College) Certified Mold Inspector and Indoor Air Quality (InterNachi)
