We had hired this company several weeks in advance for our move & paid a $200.00 up front fee. Never heard anything else from them so we started calling several days in advance of the move to make sure everything was still a go. Nobody ever answered & NEVER returned our calls. Come move day...they never showed up & never even called. We tried to call but this time couldn't even leave a message as voice mail was full. We had to rent a truck & round up friends to make the move since we had to be out that day. Not to mention the $$$ we are out of. We even drove to 1 of the 2 address they have listed which turned out to be a business complex where everyone there said they had never even heard of them! Please DO NOT trust these people.

I purchased a Living Social voucher offered by statewide moving company a few months back. It was a gift to my daughter to move from their apartment to another location . Contact was made with this company and a date was set for today, July 12 at 9:00. Again it was scheduled over month ago. Girls contacted company a day or so ahead ton confirm and was confirmed. Today when no one called or showed up the ladies called the company and were told they were running behind because of YESTERDAYS rain. They were also told it should be around 10:00-10:30 . When that time came and another no show or a courtesy call, the girls called back and were told 1:00 at the latest. At 4:00 with NO SHOW they were contacted again and were told they were trying but couldn't come yet and could NOT give an estimated time. AT this point we called and were told the same crap with the remark made to us that we should get a refund and find another moving company! Seriously angry at this point we asked to speak to whoever was in charge at which point the man said he was and when I asked his name he reluctantly gave me the usual cop out of his name being John Brown. Furthermore he told me that , and I quote"we don't do vouchers on weekends" at which point I told him if he could not give me a better timeframe I would be stranding these ladies who had to be out of their apartment today and new occupants were moving in after refurb so the girls had no where to take their furniture and since it was now 4:30 on a Saturday, we could not find another moving company at such late notice. We have now driven Another hour to find a uhaul and will be moving an apartment full of furniture at nite with no help because of the last minute fiasco that we did not cause. My husband and I are senior citizens And not easily able to move heavy furniture. This company did not care and because I told him it was unacceptable he said I should go get a refund, at this point I told him he would be hearing from our attorney because he has stranded two women with no courtesy to call at all today.

This is a rip off! Two movers showed up 2 hours late in an old U-haul truck. Both looked & acted like thugs. I had tried 2 days earlier to confirm moving time but the mailbox was full. I had previously spoke with 'dispatcher' weeks ago and he stated my Amazon Groupon was valid & I was within their radius of operations. The mover who acted like he was in charge stated I was out of the moving area (Mt. Pleasant) and they did not accept my Amazon local Groupon for the $195 that I had already paid. However, if I wanted to pay $241 now they would move me. The other 'mover' was attempting to intimidate me with his tough guy stare. Long story short I called the police & they took a report while they were present. Think again before you hire this company. Very sleazy!

I actually had a pretty good experience. Nothing exciting happened and from what I hear that is a great thing lol. The movers arrived at my home on time and packed all my belongings very well I might add. They said it would take them about 3 days to get to me and they made it in 2!!! (They had other moves in between) Once they arrived to deliver they also assisted me with my unpacking and never made me feel like they were in a rush to leave but made me feel like they were really there to help. I would move with them again!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Moving is a very stressful and expensive experience, and if you don't take precautions it can quickly turn into a nightmare. So how do you find a moving company that you can trust with everything that you own and feel safe in your decision? While we always recommend moving yourself if possible, or using a you-pack/we-drive service like ABF U-Pack Moving® or Broadway Express, we know that sometimes circumstances don't allow that to work out. If that's the situation that you're in, here is some helpful advice to get you on the right track.
