- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standardized system, typically I just by the drive time and possible length of the event along with what type of event. It can be difficult to keep my pricing within the budget of some customers, typically I try to stay on the low end of their budget and can often submit a quote lower than the bottom end of the budget they have posted. I try to do that with weddings especially.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a list of songs that they specifically want and do no want played. I ask questions to make sure that I am ready for the type of music that they people they have attending want to hear.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don't have any formal training, however I did learn what I do via trial and error and by learning from people already in the music industry. I am always learning something new and appreciate it.
