Introduction: I love working with kids and teaching them music technique and skill. I have taught private music lessons for 8 and specialize in beginners but will also work with experienced kids and adults alike. I create lessons tailored for each student to meet their each individual goals. I especially love to see students learn at their own level. I am reliable, flexible, and will work hard to help you learn and improve.

Rachel Jefferson is a great voice coach! She was knowledgeable, responsive, and committed to helping me learn how to sing. As a result of her lessons, I was prepared to sing my vows at my wedding in front of 100+ people, even though I've never sang in public before. I highly recommend Rachel Jefferson for the voice coaching needs!

Singing Lessons

Rachel made my daughter feel very comfortable and she is enjoying her lessons. I’m glad we chose Rachel as her teacher and are thinking of adding on another day during the week.

I love bringing my child to Ms. Jefferson for lessons. She is patient and very knowledgeable. She is also affordable. My son was nervous at first but has really warmed up to her nice and playful demeanor. I highly recommend her to other people, kids, and adults for music lessons!

Ms. Jefferson has been great to work with. She makes sure she tailors her lessons to the individual needs of her students and does her best to make sure kids are able to follow along. When my child was having a hard time, she even stepped out of her comfort zone to find ways to make the lessons relatable. She also has a laid back demeanor that teachers I previously dealt with did not have—her calm attitude definitely makes a positive difference.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge for travel if going to the students' home, if the student is coming to my home there is no charge. Lessons are weekly for 30, 45, 60 minutes at a time. I charge $25 for 30 mins, $35 for 45 mins., and $45 for 1 hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually start from the beginning or whatever music level the student is currently at and we go from there. I also ask about their music interests and what they would want to learn.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am classically trained from Middle Tennessee State University, I started teaching private music lessons in 2013, I have been practicing music since I was 7 years old taking private singing and piano lessons, and singing at church, and I am currently teaching general music at a charter middle school and its my second year.
