I wanted some professional photos taken of my son and I in a fun, casual atmosphere, and found Emily. She took us to a beautiful sunflower field in a part of town that I drive through regularly but had never noticed - a gem of a locale! As soon as we arrived she had my rambunctious 6 year old calm and eager to please, and all of my self-conscious jitters at rest. She was very patient yet efficient, and although I was worried about an approaching storm (and the mud we would likely be knee deep in!), she somehow managed to use the 10 minutes of dwindling sunshine to take the most brilliant photos Ive ever had! The abbreviated session resulted in over 2 dozen perfect pictures, and my friends and family havent stopped raving about them since! Ive had several professional photography sessions in the past (where Ive paid significantly more for inferior photos), but I will never again sit in front of a staged studio backdrop, nor use any other photographer but Emily. I have a wedding coming up in the spring, and I cant wait to see her magic again! Thank you so much for the exceptional experience and framed memories, Emily youre a true artist!

Emily is professional, patient, and immensely creative. Our family photo session was relaxed and fun, and the results were breathtaking. She worked with the backdrop of our own property and it has never looked so good. She knew when the light was right and took full advantage of it. I am in love with our pictures.

Consider the style of photography you are most drawn to and go from there.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That there is a difference between a snapshot and a work of art. You are hiring me to capture a feeling during a special time in your life. I don't do snapshots! I will work with you to choose the right location, time of day and even wardrobe for your session. Not only that, but the bulk of my time is actually spent preparing your images. I take care to choose the best images, enhance colors and focus on the most pleasing composition for each of your photos.
