Excellent. I wanted to give my husband piano lessons as a surprise. Tatia was super helpful getting it all set up. She emailed me right away and then we connected by phone...so easy. The lessons are going great. Rose music group is a very professional organization.
John is a good teacher. He gives good "homework" to practice and works at his students' pace. He also is flexible about scheduling which has been super helpful! I'm really enjoying bass lessons and feel like he is working hard to teach me to play tunes realistic for my skill level and keep up with others!
I took weekly guitar lessons from Matt Kass for six years when he lived in Philadelphia. Matt focuses on teaching you the music you want to learn to play and at a pace that is comfortable to your level of proficiency. He combines instruction on the fundamentals of playing a guitar with the basics of music theory so that lesson time is spent not just on how to play the guitar by why particular chords or notes work together and their relationship to the different modes of the major scale. As a professional musician, Matt is thoroughly knowledgeable about the guitar and music in general but is incredibly personable, thoughtful, reliable and friendly. He is able to tailor his teaching approach to your individual needs and helps you progress at a pace that is appropriate to your skill level. The thing that impressed me the most in Matt's teaching ability was his patience and willingness to help me around obstacles or plateaus in my playing ability. You feel that he is fully invested in your learning and shows a willingness to try different approaches to helping you succeed. I would highly recommend Matt as a guitar instructor. He is a terrific teacher and an excellent musician.
Beginner piano lessons. Camee is friendly and low stress! Lots of fun and I've signed up for more lessons.
Piano lessons. Nathan is an excellent teacher, professional and patient.
Our son loves his guitar lessons and his teacher. He has improved his skills, and the staff take a genuine interest, not only in his musical development, but in him personally.
I've been taking guitar lessons with Dan for a couple months now. I have been played piano since I can remember, and always wanted to learn how to play guitar, but never got around to it. I can say I'm definitely getting more comfortable and confident with it after a few lessons. I like that he doesn't just teach you basic chords, but also really gets into finger picking and intricate exercises as well. On top of being a great teacher, he's such a friendly and inspiring human being. I would highly recommend guitar lessons with him!
Taking lessons at La Vergne Smyra Guitar Lessons is the wisest choice you could make. Not only is Grant a great teacher, he is also a great guy who cares about seeing his students succeed and is 100% committed in doing so! If you're looking for the best, you can stop your search here.
Patrick has been a guitar teacher for my two sons (ages 11 & 20) for about 3 years. He has been outstanding. Patrick found out what each of my boys wanted out of guitar lessons before teaching them - did they want to be a musician, did they just want a hobby, did they just want to learn to play, WHAT did they want? He finds out what makes them "tick" in life and he naturally, flawlessly, magically works that into learning to play the guitar in a fun, casual, laid-back way. He's incredibly patient and gives them so much encouragement to expand their ideas and thoughts. He knows when to push and when to back off. My oldest had taught himself some things off of Youtube but was ready to move on to the next level. Patrick was phenomenal in that transition. Patricks talents are endless at whatever level. We are so blessed to have found him.
Jonathan is a fantastic teacher. He takes time to learn about you and your musical taste and then generates the lessons accordingly. I have seen tremendous improvements thanks to him!
Awesome guitar teacher! Thanks again!
We cannot say enough about Mrs. Susan Swenson. She is not only incredibly professional and kind, but has a true gift to teach music. She has transformed my son and are grateful for her compassion for her students and music.
I have worked with Matt Cummings for 5 years, he was my band instructor and personal bass teacher. He was always very lenient with style and song choices; he would always be there to help learn new songs, or even write songs. Matt is a very reliable person whom I could trust to be on-time and respectable. Through the countless hours spent with him I have become very close with him. I recommend anyone and everyone to try lessons form him. He is a extremely talented person and I think that he can help everyone get better.
I took guitar lessons with Jason in a group setting and he was very encouraging to every member of the group. He has an intimate knowledge of guitar and has studied music himself extensively. He really knows how to communicate his passion for music so that everyone can learn to enjoy playing, no matter what their current skill level is.
My 17 year old daughter Shannon has been taking guitar lessons from Cathy for 2 years now. We feel so honored to be able to learn from her. She is our resident guitar "Goddess". Her extensive career as an accomplished, musician and successful songwriter here in Nashville along with her warm engaging style has cemented her as our absolute favorite ever!! We just love her! Absulotely A++++!!
I’ve taken lessons from John for months. I’m a fairly new lead guitarist for our band. My progress has amazed my bandmates in how I now add to the melody of songs using chord inversions and fills. My soloing is more imaginative, soulful and melodic. I especially like the way John tailors his teaching style to my unique needs, always demonstrating the practical application of the theory he explains. Highly recommended.
Tara Tinsley is extremely talented! She also has the upmost patience while teaching. I am a beginner at the guitar, and if there was a word to describe "less a than beginner," that would be me. She went at my own pace because obviously I am very slow to switch between chords. I have taken a couple lessons so far and as long as I practice what she teaches at home I know I will be able to play songs in no time. I would recommend her to anybody for guitar lessons. Her office is in a great, historic building in downtown Tacoma. It is a professional office building with free street parking close by (which is almost impossible to find downtown). The lobby has seating for students and/or parents to wait. For parents that don't want to wait inside, there is a coffee and wine bar a block away! If anyone is skeptical she has music on YouTube and Spotify. Check it out and I know you will be convinced to learn from her!
John patiently sat through my painful early stages of guitar. He really tweaked my playing and brought me to another level. Great player with knowledgeable insight!
My daughter takes guitar lessons from Keith. She's 10 and pretty shy but Keith is very patient. He has taught her about new genres of music and new musicians. He encourages her to bring in things she wants to learn. She enjoys her lessons a lot and has discovered a talent she didn't know she had, with Keith's gentle, encouraging direction. She has enjoyed it so much she's inspired her sister to take lessons from Keith as well. In addition, Keith is phenomenonally talented and sometimes he plays a little after her lesson is over, and that's always a treat!

I provide piano and keyboard lessons. I have a background in classical and other styles of music such as pop, rock, blues, funk, jazz, country, worship, etc., which includes many years of professional performing and studio recording. My method of teaching would include reading notation as well as numbers (based on music theory which would enable one to play more by ear and improvise, as opposed to only reading notes). It all depends on what one would most desire to learn as everyone is different regarding his/her learning needs and level of playing/expertise. I am over 50 and have been playing since age 5, and have a concert grand piano (Yamaha C7) as well as other electric equipment (keyboards) to enhance the learning experience.
