How do you know I am the teacher for you?
I have two degrees in music- Oberlin Conservatory of Music- bachelor of music in piano performance, and Eastman School of Music, master of music in music education. This is your guarantee that my training has been of the highest caliber.
My lessons are taught in a very individualized way. There are as many different kinds of students as there are people. Many years of experience have taught me to listen not only to your music but also to listen to your needs and goals. Growth is inevitable when you are the focus.
My home studio in Chattanooga, TN is large and bright and you will have your lessons on my 6'6" grand piano- alternatively I teach online, using Skype. Most of my students take online lessons.
I have a special place in my heart for the adult student. Some of you always wanted to play but never had the chance, some played as a child and took a long break while taking care of life's necessities, some of you have played for a long time and just feel the need for a coach. One thing you all have in common- you know the tremendous value of playing an instrument and learning the musical language. Your time spent with music enriches your soul and sharpens your mind.
I love music, I love the piano, and I love my students. I get to know each individual and seek to uncover where the most joy for them in music will be.
