- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do a lot of service calls and they are really the only thing that we set a standard price on. Our service call price is $65, and that covers the first 2 hours of work, anything over the 2 hours is $35 on hour. Any material that has to be used will be billed with a receipt. This way there is no question about if we are over charging.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer the following are our basic steps: Of course contact the customer and set up a good time and date to review what work is to be completed. Our second step, after meeting with the customer, is to take measurements of anything that is to be done, so that we may build a proper estimate of the work. Once the estimate is completed, we either email the estimate to the customer or hand deliver it. If there are any adjustments, then that is taken care of until the customer is happy and ready to begin work. Depending on the type of job, a deposit is collected and a date for work to begin is set. Once the date is set, work begins until finished.
