Kenny came out (pretty close to on time) on a Wednesday to look the job over and provide a fair quote. He stated that he would likely be able to complete the job in 1 hour and he said he would be back on Friday (likely between 4:00-5:00 pm) to complete the job. Friday came and went. Because it was a holiday weekend (Memorial Day) I decided to wait until Tuesday to reach out just to be respectful of his time. I messaged him on Tuesday around 8:30 am and he didn’t reply. I messaged him again around 3:30 pm and he didn’t reply. I messaged him again this morning and he did not reply so now I’m leaving a negative review.
Not only was Kenny getting the sprinkler repair job, I also gave him the opportunity to quote me on a full deck replacement with additions to the original design; which would have been a pretty good paying job. He gave no indication whatsoever that he didn’t want to do the work and he just ghosted me, extremely unprofessional.
If you don’t want to do the job please just say so instead of wasting people’s time.
Positives:
He was close to on time when he came to quote the job and he seemed like a nice guy.
Negatives:
He flaked out, wasted my time and now I’m stuck going through the process of getting someone else to come and repair the sprinklers. In the meantime, a good portion of my front lawn is dying.
For someone that makes it a point to tell everyone about his Christian values, I’m pretty disappointed in the lack of honor and integrity. It would have been much better to just be honest and say you didn’t want to do the work instead of just not showing up and not replying to any of my messages. What a disappointing waste of time this has been.
