Excellent work -- Brent started what I thought would be a 2-day project and finished the painting and drywall repair, plus mounted two mirrors over my sinks, long before the first day was done! He left with a list of multiple "other" projects in mind for another day or week. My list grew, as we talked.. Enjoyed visiting with him and probably slowed up his progress even more. I would recommend Jack of All Trades to anyone. Thanks, Brent.
John is a man of his word and will not only be there when he says he'll be there but he'll do an excellent job for you as well. This is a contractor who cares about his finished product. Glad to have found him through Thumbtack! Thank you John.
Miguel and Jennifer cleaned up the mess of another contractor we had previously hired. Great to work with and would highly recommend for painting and drywall repair!!
Summit Painting Contracting has been my painting and home repair company exclusively in my house for more than fifteen years. Mitch Kenitzer and his brother Guy have painted my entire house on several occasions on both interior applications as well as exterior and have found they stand behind all their work. Their prices are extremely competitive and work is completed within the time frame promised. I would not hire any other company to do my painting or other home improvements based upon my experience with Mitch and Guy. In addition to painting, I have had much of the interior and exterior of my house renovated by Mitch and Guy. Their work is very professional and have always been completely satisfied with their work. I have found there are not many jobs they can't handle. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking professional painting and/or home renovations and repairs.
Chris was great!!! We talked on the phone and set a date and time for him to come over and power wash my house and patio. He not only did those but to my surprise I came home and he had cleaned the fence as well. I talked with him and found out that he did other things around the house such as painting, some electric and others. I plan on using his services in a couple of months to put in a ceiling fan for me. I have do doubt that I will be satisfied just like I am now. Thank you Chris for going above and beyond the call of duty and for doing it on such short notice!! I would recommend him to anyone, I have already referred him to my family and friends needing work in the future.
Great painting crew. Friendly and efficient!
Mark did a good job painting the interior of my listing, he also stained the deck. Very pleased. Thanks Mark!
I called Andrew Eastin to give me an estimate on a bathroom remodel after seeing some work that he had done for a neighbor. I decided to check him out on thumbtack.com and was impressed by his excellent ratings and all the positive things people had to say about him. When I called him, he responded immediately. I decided to hire him to do the work and I've never regretted it. He did an excellent job for me and I added lots of other projects after he got started on my bathroom. He did electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, tile, painting and concrete work for me. He, also. built from the ground up a large, screened in back porch. He showed up everyday and on time. He kept me informed about what was happening next and was always concerned if I was happy with the way things were being done. He cleaned up after himself everyday before he left. He finished that job in October and I have called him back recently to do another job for me. He will always be my first choice when I need some home improvement work done.
Tony, Michael, Benji, Shane and the rest did a GREAT job. We don't even live in the state so have to take a flyer on Tony's team. We left them a key and let them do their work and communicated on the phone, text and email (from Colorado). They got everything done by the promised date including wood work, bathroom remodel, painting, construction and more!!! Thank you SO much for all your hard work guys!
Jose worked with us on getting the outside of the house revamped with hardy board siding and our kitchen completely remodeled. Jose was fantastic to work with, prices were very reasonable, and he was great with bringing samples, etc. after letting him know what colors we wanted to use. They stripped the outside of the house, wrapped, sided, and trimmed in 3 days. The siding and painting crews did a fantastic job. The kitchen was gutted down to stud and remodeled. Fernando was fantastic, beautiful work in the kitchen and completed in 3 weeks. We love the results both inside and out and will work with Jose and his teams in the future for some other projects. Thank you Jose and Fernando, we love the new kitchen and the view of the outside of the house when pulling in the drive-way now. You guys are awesome to work with, look forward to future projects with you!
Jerry Watson did a great job with drywall and painting my condo! He's very courteous, and the job site was very clean upon completion. His pricing is very reasonable too! I would definitely recommend his services.
Phenomenal. Magnificent. Stellar. My wife and I are blessed to find a person who is more than qualified than any other handyman or residential contractor out there in the internet. David has been helping, and still is at this time, us complete our home from framing stage to finishes. He has extensive knowledge and wisdom that can be seen in all aspects of his craftsmanship. If you need to check his reference, like any other sane person would do, please contact me. You'll be lucky to have him working on your project. There really is no job too big or too small that he can't turn into Gold.
Al was a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail was above and beyond expectations. Several contractors had turned down the job due to the complexity of staining the top slats, but Al got it done and it looks great! I couldn't be happier with the finished product.
Mike and his crew were wonderful! He was professional and extremely responsive providing an estimate. MVM then completed our exterior painting, door installation and fence sealing for a reasonable price and excellent workmanship. Our house looks new again! He even made a few repairs to our garage doors and replaced spotlights for us. Our neighbors have even contacted us to get MVM’s contact information as they were impressed with the quality of their work! We will definitely use Mike and his crew again for our interior painting needs on the future.
Nelson’s attention to detail, professionalism and open line of communication sets him apart from all the rest. We have had several contractors on our project, and Nelson will be the only one we use again.
Paul just finished painting all interior walls in our new house, and he was quick and did an excellent job. Flexible and easy to communicate with. He even made sure to come and wrap up the finishing touches for us right after the snow storm we just had - he is dedicated to his craft. Definitely will recommend him and be requesting wood work in the future!
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION for: Tim Wolf of Wolf Home Improvements by: John. Carlisle (homeowner) Mount Juliet, TN Tel.: 615-717-5371 Date of remodel: October 25, 2016 To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Tim Wolf. Tim was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the exterior of my house in the fall of 2016. I had no prior relationship with Tim, who was recommended by an architect friend of mine. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 3 patio doors), siding replacement (approximately 4000 sq. ft.), replacement of 2 decks along with installation of stainless steel cable railing, and roof replacement (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) for a three level house built in 1978. The project took 8 weeks and involved 4 work crews (carpenters, siding, painters, roofing) plus electrician and structural engineer, at a budget of just over $100,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Tim's services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Tim top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Tim used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. Other than one relatively minor exception which Tim promptly addressed once I brought it to his attention, the workmen whom Tim utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and my wife and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Tim's prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Tim's familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Tim's commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Tim either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair. In another situation in which I was not satisfied with the aesthetics of nail holes on the siding battens even though the latter had been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, Tim agreed with me and arranged to have the nail holes filled and battens painted - a job which involved many additional hours - without passing the expense on to me. 5. Effective communication. Tim kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall, structural problems with the existing cantilevered joists for an upper deck), Tim worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., enlisting the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively (e.g., identifying a special type of edge vent for my roof that had minimal overhang), and directed the work crew to make changes necessary for implementing the solution. 7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Tim's commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention (e.g., when I wanted the roofing done before all of the exterior painting was completed), he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. When the painting crew fell behind of schedule, Tim showed up on a Saturday and helped with the exterior painting. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.” 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Tim gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Tim delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price. 9. Value. I had solicited three bids for my remodeling project. Although Tim's bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best value (in terms of the work done) for the price. 10. Sensitivity to work site appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required a huge dumpster and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Tim's placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the work site. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the two months during this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work crews (e.g., “those guys really work hard”). In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Tim was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Tim is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Tim because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Tim again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Tim Wolf to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations. If you have any questions about my experience with Tim, please feel free to call me at 615-717-5371 John Carlisle A very satisfied homeowner
