I grew up in a family where food is used to 'fix' just about every situation and exercise was something you did if you had time. My husband spent years trying to convince me that exercise could be fun, and beneficial, to no avail. About 2 years ago, I was shocked into action after standing on a scale. I joined a gym, but decided I needed more guidance than I could find on the internet. I spent a few months getting up the courage to talk to any of the trainers at the gym, but finally had the good fortune to sit down with Patrick in September of 2014. I immediately knew he was one of those encouraging, you-can-do it kind of people. His enthusiasm was contagious, and I could immediately tell he genuinely wanted the best health for all of his clients. Patrick took the time to listen to my concerns, my goals, and what I thought I knew (which wasn't much). He came up with a plan and set realistic goals for me. As I improved, he created new goals, new exercise plans, and gradually started to introduce me to the idea of changing my diet (it took a while-I like ice cream - a lot). For the past year and a half, he has consistently pushed me to be the best, and most fit, person I can be. My original goals have been met, and I am now able to do things I never thought were even a remote possibility. Patrick has not only been a fantastic personal trainer, he's become a friend and somewhat of a life-coach - always lending a sympathetic ear or giving me a pep-talk. I now push myself, not only when I'm training with Patrick, but also when I am by myself. I've learned to love spending time in the gym - something I thought was impossible. My family - and even sometimes random people - have started to notice the changes in my body and, most importantly, in my confidence. I feel like a new person, I'm healthier, happier, and more optimistic - and none of it would have happened without Patrick's help. Thanks for everything, Patrick!

Pat's training was the best training I have ever received. The training I received at Atlas Fitness was focused on rehabilitating a long-term knee injury. I had been carrying an excess of around 35 pounds and that had caused my knee to be in continual pain. The rehab and strengthening exercises were a fantastic blend of challenging yet thoroughly enjoyable exercises that strengthened the areas around the knee but also built my confidence. This confidence boost in my ability and strength provided me with so much motivation. I was quickly able to look past the knee injury that had plagued me for years and set new physical goals that I had resigned myself to never accomplishing. My body felt transformed while working with Pat. I began to see my excess weight as a shell around my frame and not my actual frame. Sadly, I had to move away from Nashville but i think back to the training Pat gave me and use it as inspiration nearly every day. I would happily move back if for no other reason that to continue training with him.

For the last decade exercise has been like religion to me. I have spent countless hours reading fitness magazines, websites, blogs, etc. It was my escape my from the daily grind of life and I genuinely enjoyed spending hours in the gym to the point of exhaustion picking up and putting down heavy things. During my late teenage and early 20 years progress came easy. I would lift weights, do limited cardio, eat what I wanted (despite knowing better), and make progress towards my fitness goals. Somewhere along the line, I found that my workouts had gotten stagnant and I wasn’t enjoying it the way I used to. Though my wife had suggested I get a trainer. I was hesitant to embrace the thought of a trainer, not wanting to surrender the control over my exercise regimen since I thought I knew it all. Then, I started training with Patrick and had no idea what I didn’t know. In the 6 months I have been working out with Patrick I have made more progress that I had in the last 5 years. I am leaner and stronger than ever before. Everything with him is really collaborative in identifying goals, strengths and weaknesses; which was very important to me. He is an excellent blend of psychologist, keeping me focused and my ego in check and trainer, focusing on solid fundamentals and safety. He has also become one of my closest friends. Regardless of whether you want to lose weight, build strength, or just have someone to talk to while you work-out; Patrick is the trainer for you.

Patrick catered to exactly what I needed when setting goals in a timely fashion. He gave me a working diet & redefined what I knew about working out at the gym. He's got a great personality & cares about his clients!
