Brandon built a ramp to go on top of the steps of our deck so that our older dog could safely go up and down the stairs to the backyard. He was very quick to reply to my emails, to set up a time to plan the project with us and to complete the job. He communicated well regarding the time frame of the project. Brandon also brought a load of ideas to the project and brainstormed with my husband about ways to build the ramp to best suit our needs. Thank you, Brandon! I highly recommend him and would hire him again for handy work around our place.
I've had Brian do a couple days worth of work around my house, miscellaneous yard cleanup work and whatnot. He's been dependable, honest, and polite. Generally a pleasure to have around. Assuming I end up deciding to take on my bigger projects later in the summer (repainting the house and building a garden shed), I plan on asking Brian to help me out with them as well. Based on what I've seen, I would recommend him without hesitation!
Richard did an excellent job building our deck. He was very helpful throughout the process.
We gave Clayton a varying array of projects we needed help with (building kitchen cabinets, fixing water damage on ceiling, window seal repair, grout work, etc.) and he did a great job on all of it. We’ll definitely use him in the future for other home improvement needs.
Our relationship with Curtis started with a deck demo/expansion and quickly grew into a near-total home renovation, including: Full deck demolition and expansion during the 2016 ice storm - aka no power! Gas line installation to grill on deck and cooktop in kitchen. Replacement of fully tiled shower off kitchen with shelving storage. Replacement of vanity and commode. Installation of over the range microwave/vent. Full electrical panel replacement in home and subpanel at pool. Drastic widening of opening between entry way and living room. Complete flooring removal and replacement in 60% of house. Stair retreading and replacement with stain to match flooring. Complete popcorn ceiling removal in entire home. Whole home baseboard and crown moulding installation. Painting of all interior walls. Complete replacement of all interior doors with solid wood doors. Removal, resizing, and replacement of front door. Complete gut of second upstairs bathroom and installation of new tub, heated tile, fixtures, vanity, etc. Complete gut of master bathroom and installation of new custom doorless shower, heated tile, fixtures, vanity, Toto washlet, etc. We are very pleased with Curtis' work and at this point consider him a friend. As such, we have referred him to several neighbors, colleagues and friends, and will do so again.
Dean did an AMAZING job on my project. The work was completed in a timely manner. He was very professional and flexible with my schedule. He responded to every message and I couldn't have ask for more. We have set a plan for the next project for him to complete. I will be working with him again in the building near future. A+ work.
Jonathan is an artist at home repair. He has completed numerous projects at our house in a knowledgeable and professional manner. He is methodical and meticulous, paying attention to the smallest detail, and finishing the job to complete satisfaction. Paying attention to our budget, he was responsible and cost efficent with any cost overruns. I feel safe in recommending him with a hearty A+
Paul just finished painting all interior walls in our new house, and he was quick and did an excellent job. Flexible and easy to communicate with. He even made sure to come and wrap up the finishing touches for us right after the snow storm we just had - he is dedicated to his craft. Definitely will recommend him and be requesting wood work in the future!
Excellent quality working with an old house requiring considerable thought and expertise building customized exterior door frame and door. Responded same day within two hours. Came and assessed task and completed within two days after agreeing on cost. Nice to find a reliable can-do craftsman with multiple skills!
As a business owner in Hendersonville who works with youth programming I have the opportunity to enjoy conversations with customers from all areas of Sumner County. When conversations turn to the topic of construction or remodeling most people will share horror stories about how they call and the contractor who guarantees they will show up but never appears at the scheduled time. Worse is when they show up, walk out during lunch hour and never return to finish their work. If you are looking for a honest, dependable, straight forward person who can help you build or remodel your home or commercial business property then I highly recommend Mike Woerth. Mike is one of those "Jack of all Trades" type of guys who can tackle just about any project you throw his way. My wife and I have done business with Mike since 1996 both on homes we have added on to or remodeled, and our commercial building that has required an enormous amount of work since we opened. Mike is trustworthy and will go above and beyond the norm to insure that the job is well done. He has "come to the rescue" on several occasions where emergency repairs were required after hours or on the weekend whenothers were "unavailable". Mike is creative, thorough in detail, and takes pride in his craftsmanship. I highly recommend him to you for your next project!
Phil Miller painted and repaired the outside of my house. He did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him. I plan on using him for additional jobs.
Nick was extremely helpful, kind, and efficient. He designed and built my new closet and I'm very happy with the result! I also plan to hire him to build furniture :-)
They worked day in and day out to build my fence. I am highly satisfied with the level of service. The people were very respectful and exceeded my standards.
My company contracted Janice to build mobile vendor carts for Tennessee Titans games. We had two that needed repairing and wanted two new ones made to mirror those. We were very pleased with the quality, ability to work within our tight turn-around time and price!
Tyler and his crew were great! He had excellent ideas and his knowledge of construction was great. I had Tyler come out to do some hardwood floors, and they turned out awesome. Me and my wife couldn't be happier. We are now in the process of having him do a bathroom remodel for us. I can't wait to see the final product. I would defdefinitely recommend contacting Tyler for any of your projects.
Landon has done multiple jobs for me - 2-3 years ago he update my house with new wood doors in all rooms, replaced all the trim and did wainscoat in dining room, replaced my front and back door, built me 2 decks. He came in spent time with me and my ideas gave me suggestions, showed me pictures (because I'm visual) - he cared - I changed my mind - he adjusted - very fair and if I had questions he was there to answer them.... Now to current- we moved (yes he increase the sell of my home about $8,000) - We had him do multiple things in our new home - built-in bookcases for my study, again wainscoat and cedar beams in dining room, cedar beams in my great room, did custom closets in all.. And will be using him to build me a deck off my outdoor living soon. I would highly recommend him, you don't find many custom trim people that take pride in their own work -- if he didn't like the way it looked he removed it and did it till he was satisfied, not me. hopefully I will be able to upload pics after I submit... Call him -- well worth it
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION for: Tim Wolf of Wolf Home Improvements by: John. Carlisle (homeowner) Mount Juliet, TN Tel.: 615-717-5371 Date of remodel: October 25, 2016 To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Tim Wolf. Tim was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the exterior of my house in the fall of 2016. I had no prior relationship with Tim, who was recommended by an architect friend of mine. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 3 patio doors), siding replacement (approximately 4000 sq. ft.), replacement of 2 decks along with installation of stainless steel cable railing, and roof replacement (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) for a three level house built in 1978. The project took 8 weeks and involved 4 work crews (carpenters, siding, painters, roofing) plus electrician and structural engineer, at a budget of just over $100,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Tim's services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Tim top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Tim used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. Other than one relatively minor exception which Tim promptly addressed once I brought it to his attention, the workmen whom Tim utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and my wife and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Tim's prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Tim's familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Tim's commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Tim either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair. In another situation in which I was not satisfied with the aesthetics of nail holes on the siding battens even though the latter had been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, Tim agreed with me and arranged to have the nail holes filled and battens painted - a job which involved many additional hours - without passing the expense on to me. 5. Effective communication. Tim kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall, structural problems with the existing cantilevered joists for an upper deck), Tim worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., enlisting the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively (e.g., identifying a special type of edge vent for my roof that had minimal overhang), and directed the work crew to make changes necessary for implementing the solution. 7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Tim's commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention (e.g., when I wanted the roofing done before all of the exterior painting was completed), he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. When the painting crew fell behind of schedule, Tim showed up on a Saturday and helped with the exterior painting. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.” 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Tim gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Tim delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price. 9. Value. I had solicited three bids for my remodeling project. Although Tim's bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best value (in terms of the work done) for the price. 10. Sensitivity to work site appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required a huge dumpster and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Tim's placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the work site. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the two months during this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work crews (e.g., “those guys really work hard”). In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Tim was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Tim is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Tim because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Tim again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Tim Wolf to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations. If you have any questions about my experience with Tim, please feel free to call me at 615-717-5371 John Carlisle A very satisfied homeowner
