FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is per job as most everything that I do is a custom request.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I need to know is what they are wanting as far as their embroidery needs. if it is a custom design that has to be digitized or a stock design. If it is a custom design then I have to have artwork of the design for digitizing. If it is a stock design, I send them pictures to choose from. I also need to know if they are providing the items to be embroidered or if they want me to order items for them. I can do either. After all the details are confirmed I quote a price and explain payment details, turn around times ,shipping cost if needed,. If they are local and want to bring the items to me, I set up an appointment for them to do so being I work from my home I have to work by appointment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been sewing every since I was a teenager in high school. After I got married and had children my passion was sewing for my children. When they started school and participated in sports, I took on the world of embroidery. Most of my business has been from word of mouth and it keeps me as busy as I want to be. I have met some really interesting people. My husband has worked in the Music Industry for 35+ years and I have done a lot of sewing for them. I have children in the medical field and they keep me busy with their request also. So as far as education and training, I guess you could say that hands on experience, a lot of research and studying and reading has been my best teacher.
