It was such a pleasure to work with Evelyn at my daughter's first birthday party. All the kids and adults loved her and her work. I am so very glad that I picked her to be our face painting artist-she did a fabulous job. Thank you, Evelyn :)Feb 2, 2016Verified
Evelyn did an outstanding job! She is friendly, fun and everyone looked great! Our community had the best face painted trick-or-treaters around!!Nov 14, 2015Verified
Evelyn did an awesome job on kids faces, I like the way that she is very consistant on drawing. Moreover she is very flexable on understanding the kid desire of which to paint on face. Also which is more Important she did an extra painting for couple of kids without charging, that's makes her my first choice in any upcoming event.Mar 29, 2015Verified
Evelyn was fantastic! She is super-talented and all the children absolutely loved their face-paintings. She was prompt and very easy to have around.Mar 24, 2015Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $100 an hour with a 2 hour minimum. Occasionally I will do a 1 hour party for $125.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I noticed how much my daughter LOVED getting her face painted at festivals, so I bought a small kit for us to use at home. It brought out the creative side in me. I was a stay-at-home mom and wanting to start working again, but I needed a flexible schedule and after 20 years of working in Corporate America, I knew that was NOT what I wanted any more. My love for children and the arts, along for the need to control my schedule is what led me to decide that this is what I want to do.
- What types of customers have you worked with? The most common job is face painting at children's birthday parties, either in their home or at a venue like Chuck-E-Cheese, etc. I also work for The Nashville Zoo (for their company picnics and some special events). I paint at Belmont University, (at their basketball games). I have worked several events for some of the local Chick-fil-a restaurants (Smyrna, Murfreesboro, Brentwood) and I do several Festivals throughout town (like The Old Timers Festival in La Vergne & The Lee Victory July 4th event in Smyrna).
