I spoke with John today by phone to set up guitar lessons as a birthday present for my husband. He was easy to talk to and flexible as far as setting up lesson times. I'm excited to have found his help!
Matt has been giving guitar lessons to our daughter for about two years. She has learned an incredible amount. He is able to judge just how much to push her so that she continues to learn but also really enjoys her lessons and playing. He has taught her a lot of music theory along the way. We like him so much that we're continuing her lessons via Skype even though Matt has moved away from our area. He's a great teacher and we absolutely recommend him.
Beginner piano lessons. Camee is friendly and low stress! Lots of fun and I've signed up for more lessons.
Nathan is a great teacher who has really expanded my knowledge is music, I have learned so much! I went from just knowing four chords on guitar to learning how to freestyle. Nathan is a great teacher! You will not regret learning from him. :)
Grant goes so much farther than most guitar teachers ever will. He approaches musicianship from every angle and he just plain cares more! If you think being a great guitarist is about having natural talent, he'll show you not only that talent is learned -- but how to learn it! I highly recommend La Vergne Smyrna Guitar Lessons for anyone who wants to get started OR to take their playing to the next level!
I was so lucky to have found Jimmy to teach my daughter guitar. He is talented, knowledgeable, patient and kind. She blossomed under his tutelage!
Matt is my son's guitar teacher and band coach. Matt is awesome! My son and I adore him. Matt really connects with his students through an approachable style and great sense of humor. He is truly interested in their success. Matt is experienced, enthusiastic and creative. He helps my son choose the type of music that he is both interested in and that suits his playing style. This makes lessons fun and productive. With this kind of support and guidance, it is no surprise to me that my sons band won The Battle of the Bands two years running. Bottom line, Matt is a wonderful and trusting person and an amazing teacher and a mentor for my son.
Jason is an extremely patient instructor that adjust his teaching methods to align with my changing needs. He has done a great job of understanding my goals and working through the challenges with my busy schedule and inconsistent level of practice. Jason takes the time to fully explain his approach to ensure you understand how his guidance will help you attain your playing goals. Additionally, Jason loves to teach guitar and it comes through in his lessons. Don't hesitate to give him a call if you're serious about learning guitar from someone that truely enjoys his craft!
John was very helpful in teaching me the proper technique and foundation's of playing guitar. He broke down the basics and instructed on how I could practice on my own and improve my technique. I would be happy to recommend John to anyone interested in learning a musical instrument.
My daughter takes guitar lessons from Keith. She's 10 and pretty shy but Keith is very patient. He has taught her about new genres of music and new musicians. He encourages her to bring in things she wants to learn. She enjoys her lessons a lot and has discovered a talent she didn't know she had, with Keith's gentle, encouraging direction. She has enjoyed it so much she's inspired her sister to take lessons from Keith as well. In addition, Keith is phenomenonally talented and sometimes he plays a little after her lesson is over, and that's always a treat!
John patiently sat through my painful early stages of guitar. He really tweaked my playing and brought me to another level. Great player with knowledgeable insight!
I took guitar lessons with Evan for over six months. He was extremely patient with me and I always had a good time. He taught me chords by picking songs that I would enjoy practicing and showing me simplified versions of them. I never felt ashamed or overwhelmed. I started with absolutely no experience and he gave me manageable lessons but I always felt like I was moving forward. If I hadn't moved out of the area, I would definitely still be taking lessons!
My son has been taking guitar lessons with Khris Miller now for over a year. We have been very happy with Khris as a teacher. He makes learning fun which keeps our son interested. He encourages the kids to create their own music. Half the children at recital played their own compositions which I thought was wonderful. He's an accomplished guitarist; he's not only a good musician, but he's truly interested in teaching. I think he's a great teacher for kids!
Michael Chirri was my guitar teacher when I first started to play over 2 decades ago. I still benefit to this day from the scales & techniques he taught. What sets Michael apart from other guitarists, besides playing at a Masters level, is his enthusiasm for teaching, his encouragement, and the diversity of styles that he can play. My endorsement is gladly given, but not needed. The quality speaks for itself. -Dan Minard
I commit to supporting the goals of my students, whether it is just learning to play a few of their favorite songs to pursuing a career in the music industry!
Guitar is my passion; teaching is my joy. I am a college student here in Nashville, and have had a love of music since the day I was born. I come from a very musically talented family, from which came the name "JamesGang". I sing, play piano, and write music, but most of all, I play the guitar. I am experienced in all forms of music reading: tablature, sheet music, and the Nashville number system. I am also very experienced in music theory. My guitar abilities include blues, rock, folk, country, Spanish guitar, flamenco, classical, and playing by ear. I am interested in teaching the guitar to all ages, and I am great with kids, as I have a brother whom I started teaching when he was 7. My teaching style is extremely flexible to the goals and requests of my students, and my prices are very low. I am willing to come to any location you request or to have the lessons done on my college campus. I am greatly honored to teach my passion to anyone who desires to learn, and I look forward to teaching you or your children the art of the acoustic guitar. Have a blessed day!
The techniques that I'm teaching include speed, phrasing style, proper picking and vibrato expression. I specialize in teaching beginners.
We offer, in conjunction with an extensive guitar DVD instructional library, customized guitar lessons that answer all your questions designed specifically for you. All ages and levels are welcome, from beginner to the most advanced.
I offer guitar lessons for beginners to intermediate. I also service music history teaching, from blues, rock, and rockabilly styles. Learn to play guitar in a simple easy to understand way and start playing and writing on your own fast.
I have a unique way of teaching guitar, blending traditional guitar theory and the number system. You are going to see results quickly and complete your first lesson with a better understanding of the guitar. Many people have told me, "I tried and just don't have it!" The good news is... it's the same for everyone. Everyone suffers the initial two to four weeks of difficulty in training their hands to play the guitar. You just have to work through the rough beginning stages. The guitar players you admire struggled at some point. But, were too stubborn to give up. I charge $20 for a one-hour lesson.
