Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Lane Spicer B.S. in Exercise Science-MTSU ACSM-Certified Personal Trainer Founder: Plum Nearly Fitness Plum Nearly is a phrase that carries over from my family farm in Pennsylvania. Though it is 100% a fully functional 6 generation dairy farm, the goal of being your best is always a bit out of reach. "Plum Nearly Fit" is the constant mindset of always being willing to set a new bar. I graduated MTSU in 2020, shortly after I started my career as a personal trainer. After first deciding to go to school for physical therapy, I eventually came to a conscious decision I wanted to be on the preventative side of exercise rather than the rehabilitative side. At MTSU I played rugby at the D1-AA level. We appeared in multiple national championship tournaments during my time in school finishing as high as 8th in the nation. Rugby became my passion, though I have played many different sports in my life. I remain focused on reaching my personal goal of being able to play until I am physically unable to anymore. Even after that, there will always be a new challenge ahead. I believe in encouragement first; a trainers job is to get into a rhythm with their client, to understand how they think, in order to help them as optimally as possible. This is a PERSONAL job; it demands patience, versatility, and a life long learner's mindset as a professional. Whether you are perfectly healthy, have previous injuries, hate the gym, are trying to lose weight, or want to reach a new level as an athlete. Every one of my clients is a blank canvas; I rewrite the script accordingly while holding true to my foundational beliefs. Lets grow together.

Working with Lane has been fantastic. We have been able to meet virtually and establish an excellent workout routine for me in my own home. Lane is always professional and keeps my injuries in mind when working out. His personalized touch has helped me continue to gain strength in my entire body after my physical therapy release.

Born with a number of neurological conditions and an extremely high metabolism, as I approached 40, I decided that the next forty would not be like the last. I met Lane March of this year and could not be happier with the progress that I have made. I now weigh more than I have my entire life. My balance has greatly improved and because of Lane's attentiveness in the gym, I have only experienced gains. If you are not happy with where you are in life, Lane will meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

First session is free. I am flexible about payment methods. I work by the hour. My online training price is more affordable than my in person sessions.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I start with a phone interview so we can get to know each other ahead of time. During our first session together we will start the session with a 5-10 minute warm up. After the warm up I am stickler about getting some sort of dynamic stretch in before we get into the bulk of the workout. From there the workout is about us getting to know each other, going through some larger motion movements and progress to less strenuous exercises (squats, deadlifts into seated curls, push up position knees to chest).

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

-B.S. in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University -American College of Sports Medicine-Certified Personal Trainer -Manduu America-Certified Electrical Muscle Stimulation-Certified Personal Trainer -CPR/AED certified by Emergency Care & Safety Institute -Intern coach/trainer at 615 Sports Training in Mt. Juliet, TN in 2020 -Co-founder and assistant coach of Lebanon High School boy's rugby team in 2017 & 2018 -Founder of Plum Nearly Fitness est. in 2020
