Ian was an integral part of making my daughter’s graduation day one of her greatest memories. He was easy to work with and sincerely listened to my daughter’s requests. He offered wonderful suggestions regarding where to shoot the footage, what shots might work better in a different location, and what poses would be best. He was flexible, prompt, very polite, and courteous. I would highly recommend his company.

For my first experience working with Memphis Drone Company, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and footage he was able to capture, he was even able to use his own creative techniques with no guidance or direction from me. In a brief conversation I told him what I wanted and he amazed me with the outcome. To capture footage that tells a story without words is true quality work.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First thing, know the types of shots you want to get. It helps us figure out the correct work flows to get you the best shots. Be thinking about it ahead of time! Aerial shoots within 5 miles of Memphis International will require approvals from the FAA. Flights at the airport are prohibited. Night flights and flights over people will require authorization from the FAA and it could take weeks or months for that approval. Just let me know if you have any of these situations and I’ll see what we can do.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I’m licensed FAA remote pilot. Commercial drone providers have to be licensed with the FAA.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My father was pilot when I was growing up. I’ve always loved to fly. Drones were the next step for me to do something I love.
