Dan was incredibly professional when he completed various inspections at my home. He educated me on issues with moisture in the crawl space, mosquito service, and ants. He is detailed with his inspections and makes sure the customer understands any issues and the best way to prevent or alleviate any issues. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has been doing this kind of work for over thirty years. I plan to use Pro Tech as my go to termite and pest control company and have already referred this company to others in our area! If you want someone who is professional, honest, and knowledgable...go with Dan from Pro Tech!!

A remote control for our tank-less water heater was relocated from the crawl space into the master bathroom so the heater's performance can be monitored/controlled from inside the house. Blake had a better idea than I did about where to install this so it was out of the way yet easily available. Work was done quickly and for the amount agreed to.

We have had Allen Vosburg as our lest control expert for about a year now. He has always been extremely pleasant and helpful! He made sure to take more time out of his day when we had a severe ant problem last summer, and was able to get the issue under control quickly.

Very knowledgeable about pest control, even more so than their big chain company competitors. The technician was very thorough in his initial examination and began pesticide application the same day. Unlike other companies I have done business with, Phoenix Pest Control actually contacted me a few weeks after their first visit to make sure I was satisfied with the results.

Kurtis was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He quoted a much better price than most of his competitors. At first I was a little leary that I would have to sacrifice quality for the cheaper price, but that wasn’t the case. I called and spoke to Debbie and she got me setup with an appointment the very next week. Kurtis was very friendly and professional when he arrived. It took less than 45 minutes for him the complete the job. He sprayed around the interior of all entryways, the garage, and complete exterior of the home. He spread some type of pesticide on the yard and landscaping as well as cleaning all webs from the exterior of the home. I would highly recommend (and already have to a neighbor) these guys to anyone looking for a good exterminator. Thank you to everyone at Frontier Pest Control and I look forward to seeing you again in 4 months for my quarterly treatment. 😊

As a REALTOR I have worked with KIMCO on a number of transactions. He is a competent, thorough professional who takes great pride in a job well done. He has a tendency to exceed expectations, which is a very good thing indeed. Because he is a licensed contractor, a licensed electrician, as well as a licensed pest person, he brings a great deal of expertise to the table and provides unparalled service in a cost-effective manner.

    About

Because my name is on the truck, forms, office door, etc. so naturally I'm much more interested in what happens at a customers house. You rarely get that level of concern from someone who is just working at a company. They don't usually want to do anything extra because "going the extra mile" is rarely rewarded at the bigger companies.

    About

We offer termite and pest control services. We have monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and one-time schedules. We also do bedbug treatment and mosquito control.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What do pest control companies do?

Pest control companies handle all aspects of bug, rodent and animal extermination or removal. Pest control professionals visit your home or office to identify the type of pest that is troubling you and offer various treatment plans — complete with clearly outlined costs. Once you and the pest control company have a signed agreement, the pro will begin treatment. Pest treatment can range from the use of spray pesticides and gel bait to live and/or kill traps. There are a wide range of types of pesticides, many of them nontoxic for humans and other small animals. This means you may be able to have your home treated for pests without harming nearby wildlife or your dog and cat. The pest control pro will carry out the treatment plan and, depending on the service agreement, provide follow-up such as emptying traps, inspecting access points, or reapplying pesticide spray if the pests return. Costs will vary based on the type of pest you are having removed and the extent of the infestation. The average national pest control price range is $80-$130. From a minor bedbug event to an entire home termite infestation, pest control companies have got you covered.

How much does it cost to treat a house for termites?

Termites are not only creepy-crawly, they can literally eat your house out from underneath you. Termites feed on damp and dry wood and can chomp through your house at an alarming rate. The national average pest control cost for termite extermination is $240-$400. Treatment costs can be higher for an extensive infestation. Here are some examples of average pest control costs for termites:

    • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: $3-$4 per linear foot.
      • For $75 per year, a company may offer a maintenance plan that provides inspection of the property and renewal of the warranty.
    • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: approximately $400 for a 2,000-square-foot home at $3-$5 per linear foot.
      • The price is higher for additional work such as foaming and drilling inside of concrete slabs.
    • Fumigation treatment of drywood termites: $1,200-$1,500 for a 30,000- to 35,000-cubic-foot home
      • Fumigation is measured in cubic feet because it fills the airspace of the home and infiltrates the wood that the termites may be colonizing. The cost of fumigation is affected by the number of levels in the home as well as the square footage.

How much does it cost to get rid of cockroaches?

Cockroaches are not only ugly, they are difficult to get rid of. Quick and resilient, they can be hard to get rid of without professional help once they have inhabited a house. Nationally, the average range for cockroach pest control cost is $80-$130. Extermination professionals typically provide a free estimate to determine the extent of the infestation. They’ll check for the main sources of the bugs, identify bug access and entry points into your home, and determine the best method for elimination. There are a variety of cockroach extermination tools including gel baits and traps, pesticide foggers, desiccants (which dry out the cockroaches), neurotoxins, and other pesticides. Pest control costs can also cover preventive measures like regular spraying and trap maintenance. Some regions of the country are much more prone to cockroach problems than others, so pest control costs may need to be part of your quarterly budget. Cockroaches love dark, humid, and warm areas and water sources, so place traps near your washer and dryer and under your sinks.

How much does it cost to remove a mouse?

If you have a mouse in your house you’re probably quickly researching pest control costs. Mice, although tiny, can transmit diseases and also get into your food and leave unsanitary droppings around your home. If you have seen one mouse in your house, it’s likely that more have taken up residence in your crawl space, attic or basement. The national average pest control cost is $150-$200. Costs can vary depending on whether you need to get rid of a population of living mice or just dispose of a dead mouse (or full traps), how extensive the mouse population is, and where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pest control cost for removing a mouse:

    • $150 for initial trap setup and inspection (and sealing of entry holes).
      • $50 for rodent removal service calls and emptying of traps. This visit can also include identifying and sealing entry points that were not sealed on the first visit.
    • Rodent extermination: $110-$350, depending on how heavy the rodent population is, whether the mouse infestation poses health risks, how many entrances exist and how many rodent bait stations are needed.

How much does it cost to get a pest inspection?

In general there is no cost for a pest inspection. Exterminators typically provide a free property or building inspection and then provide you with a written estimate outlining the necessary treatment and cost. The home visit allows the exterminator to assess the problem and let you know what your pest control cost will be if you contract with their services. You may need a termite inspection for real estate purposes. This will be a verified inspection showing that the house in question is termite-free (often done before a sale). The inspection may cost a flat rate, such as $125-$150, depending on house size.

It’s hard to predict pest control costs sight unseen due to the variety of factors that go into pest treatment. For example, a bedbug problem for one customer may be confined to one room and be easy to access and treat in one visit if the room is clear of clutter and the bedbugs have been caught early. In another home, a bedbug problem may also be confined to one room, but there’s a great deal of clutter, providing more hiding places for the bugs and requiring more spray and labor for the exterminator, as well as many pieces of large furniture in the room that need to sprayed. Depending on the maturity of the infestation, a bedbug problem may require multiple visits to entirely eliminate. This is why many companies provide a free inspection to determine pest control costs and provide you the most accurate quote possible.
