Jason was one of the few guys to actually respond and he did so quickly. Many contacts on Tumbtack just don't respond. His prices were affordable and his teams workmanship was great. I have already given his contact info to my neighbor. Funny guy too! My gutters were old and dumping water on my windows, he quickly repaired the old ones and added a new spout to offset the builders bad gutter design. Like new!
Ron did a fantastic job, was professional and very polite. He recommended that we do not stain our fence and use a clear sealant to highlight the natural wood attributes. I'm sure glad we did. My wife and I are getting a deck built and will be using his services to seal the new structure. I would recommend him to my closest family.
Jesse did an awesome job staining my back deck and fence. He was very thorough and detail oriented and finished up the job quickly once he was able to begin. Price was also very reasonable. I would highly recommend and will use again in the future.
He was in touch before he arrived on time. He removed an extremely heavy water heater. Would recommend and use him again.
We needed a VERY overgrown lawn mowed and Brian did a great job. He mowed, edged, and sprayed some weed repellent. We hadn't requested the repellent (which he charged extra for) but his prices and services were so good that we weren't upset. Would hire again!
Job involved repair & rebuild of water damaged outside chimney with log siding at our lake house. Also had pressure wash and staining/sealing of decking areas. Branch & Tree removal work also completed.. Quality work was completed in timely and professional manner = good results.
Juan and his team painted our brick exterior, did a total bathroom remodel, installed two new doors and installed tile and dry wall in the den. He was very thorough, proactive about budget conversations and just a terrific person to work with on this project. I highly recommend him for painting and remodeling.
Cleaned out wet insulation from our attic. Worked quickly and showed up right on time. Would use again.
Professional and used time wisely. Work was complete, and to my satisfaction in no time at all. Will use All Roofing Siding Gutters again.
Jose worked with us on getting the outside of the house revamped with hardy board siding and our kitchen completely remodeled. Jose was fantastic to work with, prices were very reasonable, and he was great with bringing samples, etc. after letting him know what colors we wanted to use. They stripped the outside of the house, wrapped, sided, and trimmed in 3 days. The siding and painting crews did a fantastic job. The kitchen was gutted down to stud and remodeled. Fernando was fantastic, beautiful work in the kitchen and completed in 3 weeks. We love the results both inside and out and will work with Jose and his teams in the future for some other projects. Thank you Jose and Fernando, we love the new kitchen and the view of the outside of the house when pulling in the drive-way now. You guys are awesome to work with, look forward to future projects with you!
Had Jerry come to the house to re-support a large dip in the floor, grout in both bathrooms, hang closet shelving, and hang lighting. The guys did a great job. Would definitely hire them in the future.
Derrick was a pleasure to work with. His team completed a large job for me - tearing down all gutters, wood fascia, all old aluminum siding around the fascia, and replaced the fascia with new lumber, replaced shingles around the perimeter of the roof to establish the proper shingle overhang for the new drip edge, and installed brand new seamless gutters. He was fair on price, responsive at every step of the way, and honest. I would highly recommend for any job.
I had initially hired a handyman to do some work around our new house, and there was some drywall that was stained from an old leak. Our handyman tried to repair it, but ran into some issues getting it flush on the ceiling. While he knew drywall, he was not an expert. In comes Mike with MVM Construction, and he was able to swing by, take a look, give me a reasonable quote, and had guys there by that afternoon since I was hoping to get it done before move in! Whatever issue our handyman ran into was no problem for Mike's guys. They quickly patched things up, and it looked beautiful. As they were doing the work they made some marks on the wall, so while the drywall mud was drying, they took a trip to the store, got a perfect match on the paint color for the wall, and fixed that, too! That gave them the time to put on the second coat of mud, get the ceiling painted, and you'd never know the drywall was cut out. Very impressive work. The quote was a little higher than others I had received, but it was worth every penny.
I hired Ron to paint the exterior of my detached garage. I was having serious problems with my general contractor, who later skipped town, so with no siding put on yet, I had him prime and paint the bare wood of the rafters and eaves before the cold weather set in. He did an acceptable job, communicated well, and left the job as clean as he found it.
Wish I would have found this guy at the very start of my renovations. Could have saved me a lot of worry and time. Great company, very good communication, very trustworthy. If I was doing business in Nashville again I wouldn't hesitate to work with Russ again. My job was not standard as I was living in Chicago and trying to renovate a house in Nashville on the weekends (and some weeks). These guys kept me totally updated, and on track. And I had no issues trusting him with the lock box for any fixes that needed to be taken care of during my showings. I used about a dozen services on Thumbtack gutting an entire house, plumbers, siding, electrical, painting, landscaping and cleaning. If they made Perfect Coat the standard everyone would love using Thumbtack, but I honestly think he exceeds what most people consider normal service standards by far. 10/10
Jim repaired the vinyl siding piece near the roof of my house. He was very responsive and he did a very good job.
Working with Josh was a great experience. He sprayed my kitchen cabinet doors. He was prompt, professional, and his work looks awesome. We had an issue with the cabinet color not being what it should, and he was very nice and patient in fixing it. I would definitely recommend him and will use him again in the future!
Randall was awesome. Top notch guy that worked really hard and knocked the job out quickly without sacrificing any quality. I got a quote from a few different guys, and Randall was very competitively priced with the rooms he ended up painting on the inside. He beat the other guys' price by about half to paint the brick exterior of my whole house, and he had availability to get started quickly, and then he finished the job well done. I almost didn't paint it because the other guys' prices were a little more than I was willing to spend. I'm glad I did. A+
Replaced sink sprayer....excellent job...will call michael for other home repairs....
Outstanding: Dependable & Skilled They did it all for me! New Roof, New Siding & New Windows, Framing & Awning. Bryan & his crew showed up when they said they would and got the work done quickly and accurately. I was very impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and most importantly the quality of work. I loved that I didn't have to do anything except tell them my address. He met with the Insurance adjuster, checked everything for hail damage and saw things I didn't see without him pointing them out to me, and made everything like new. I will use them again!
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION for: Tim Wolf of Wolf Home Improvements by: John. Carlisle (homeowner) Mount Juliet, TN Tel.: 615-717-5371 Date of remodel: October 25, 2016 To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Tim Wolf. Tim was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the exterior of my house in the fall of 2016. I had no prior relationship with Tim, who was recommended by an architect friend of mine. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 3 patio doors), siding replacement (approximately 4000 sq. ft.), replacement of 2 decks along with installation of stainless steel cable railing, and roof replacement (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) for a three level house built in 1978. The project took 8 weeks and involved 4 work crews (carpenters, siding, painters, roofing) plus electrician and structural engineer, at a budget of just over $100,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Tim's services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Tim top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Tim used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. Other than one relatively minor exception which Tim promptly addressed once I brought it to his attention, the workmen whom Tim utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and my wife and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Tim's prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Tim's familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Tim's commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Tim either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair. In another situation in which I was not satisfied with the aesthetics of nail holes on the siding battens even though the latter had been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, Tim agreed with me and arranged to have the nail holes filled and battens painted - a job which involved many additional hours - without passing the expense on to me. 5. Effective communication. Tim kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall, structural problems with the existing cantilevered joists for an upper deck), Tim worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., enlisting the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively (e.g., identifying a special type of edge vent for my roof that had minimal overhang), and directed the work crew to make changes necessary for implementing the solution. 7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Tim's commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention (e.g., when I wanted the roofing done before all of the exterior painting was completed), he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. When the painting crew fell behind of schedule, Tim showed up on a Saturday and helped with the exterior painting. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.” 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Tim gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Tim delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price. 9. Value. I had solicited three bids for my remodeling project. Although Tim's bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best value (in terms of the work done) for the price. 10. Sensitivity to work site appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required a huge dumpster and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Tim's placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the work site. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the two months during this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work crews (e.g., “those guys really work hard”). In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Tim was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Tim is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Tim because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Tim again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Tim Wolf to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations. If you have any questions about my experience with Tim, please feel free to call me at 615-717-5371 John Carlisle A very satisfied homeowner
