I have greatly enjoyed my experience at Nashville Music Academy! The lessons (banjo) themselves have been wonderful and the experience with the company is top notch. They have helped me by setting up recurring appointments and payments to make the experience as easy as possible.
My husband and I undertook 36 hours of guitar lessons with John over a 2 week period, mostly together, which was in itself a challenge! We were also beginners and John treated us with the utmost respect and we never felt like 'fools'. The time we have spent with John will ultimately make the difference between us being enthusiastic guitar players, which I know we will be, and not feeling like failures and losing interest, which could well have happened if we had not discovered John. So for those of you looking for a fantastic, enthusiastic (and Beatles fan) teacher, don't hesitate to contact John Pennell in Nashville. We highly recommend him.
Piano lessons. Nathan is an excellent teacher, professional and patient.
I absolutely love Murfreesboro Academy of Music! My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Layne for 6 years and he is the BEST teacher I could have possibly hoped for! My daughter is 11 and plays well on a high school level. She also started taking violin lessons from Ms. Scholten about 5 months ago and once again the level of teaching has far reached my expectations! A very professional atmosphere with the highest quality of teaches! I would highly recommend The Murfreesboro Academy of Music to anyone seeking music excellence in any area of music interest! I am one very satisfied an loyal customer with these teachers going above and beyond to make sure their students not only enjoy but have the BEST learning experience possible!
This is my son's first time playing an instrument and Mr. John was very patient and attentive to my son for his lessons. He taught him about the guitar and after the first lesson he could play a small song. We were so pleased with his skills and knowledge. I am so glad I found Reverb Lessons and Mr. John to help my son to learn the guitar.
I've been taking guitar lessons with Jeff Rogers for a few months. I have learned a lot. He is very knowledgeable, talented, and personable. I highly recommend Jeff!
I took weekly private banjo lessons from Wilson for 2+ years. He was a terrific teacher. He was great at balancing theory with working on songs. Great at picking out music at my level that I would learn from and enjoy. And was always responsive to what I was most interested in learning. He even got me to perform in public by playing with me at an open mic night! I would highly recommend him.
Steve is one of Nashville's best kept secrets. Not only is he the nicest guy but he has played with the best of the best. For a long time, I have been asking him to give me guitar lessons and I'm so excited that he is now offering lessons!
Cariad taught my eldest guitar for several years - she kept her engaged with music she loved but installed in her the proper techniques. The music teachers at her school were so impressed that they began to use Cariad as their go to guitar teacher. Cariad also had the patient of a saint with my younger daughter who couldn't decide if she wanted to play the piano or ukulele. She just worked with her on either instrument - making sure she had fundamentals and loved music. We miss Cariad very much -- we've not been able to replicate the experience.
Usually a shy mouse, within my first ever ukelele lesson with Zelda, I was singing along (loudly!) and playing tunes. Zeldas love of people and music is contagious. Her methods of teaching allows you to feel so confident. If you want happiness and joy in your life - spend five minutes with this beautiful lady. And it just keeps getting better!
Tara Tinsley is extremely talented! She also has the upmost patience while teaching. I am a beginner at the guitar, and if there was a word to describe "less a than beginner," that would be me. She went at my own pace because obviously I am very slow to switch between chords. I have taken a couple lessons so far and as long as I practice what she teaches at home I know I will be able to play songs in no time. I would recommend her to anybody for guitar lessons. Her office is in a great, historic building in downtown Tacoma. It is a professional office building with free street parking close by (which is almost impossible to find downtown). The lobby has seating for students and/or parents to wait. For parents that don't want to wait inside, there is a coffee and wine bar a block away! If anyone is skeptical she has music on YouTube and Spotify. Check it out and I know you will be convinced to learn from her!
