- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always testing recipes to come up with the perfect twist on an old favorite or a healthier version of something I have made many times. I enjoy reading cookbooks and magazines that are from other parts of the country and really offer different cuisines. I am also planning a trip this summer back to Portugal to continue to develop my skills in that cuisine.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It is my passion...I started my career in the restaurant business and continued in food and beverage as well as event planing for almost 10 years. Once I left it, I knew I would eventually have to come back.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I really strive to meet the needs of all of my clients so I wouldn't say anything is common simply because everyone's needs, preferences and restrictions are different. Some of the more common are in home meals, where I pick up groceries, cook meals for the week and clean up....I also love special occasions, which for me can be anything from 2 people having an anniversary dinner in or a shower for 50 people. I also help people with health needs and losing weight....and one of the other really important factors is that I try to be as creative as possible to help people enjoy the experience of eating "in" again.
