Can I add more stars? I worked with Emily to style a fashion inspired Senior photo session and she knocked it out of the park. From the first meeting with the client, to the wardrobe selection, and the onsite consulting it was an absolute pleasure, and I had nothing to worry about, Emily made it look effortless! Katie was an excellent choice for me. She came prepared with an assistant so she could focus on what I needed and we finished the closet audit in less time than I expected. She also helped me with a variety of solutions with selling and donating my clothes, even took a large amount to a donation sight for me. Such a relief that I have gotten rid of so many things I wasn't using, kept the best of what I already had, and can start identifying my own personal style and colors that look best on me. I really liked Katie and will call her for further consultations with special occasion and and any wardrobe key pieces I might need in the future.

Their job isn't just about staying ahead of the trends, it is about making women feel good in their skin. When Katey Preston audited my closet the first time a few years ago, it was incredibly freeing. She was kind, and understanding when I couldn't explain my attachment to an old sweater and a cocktail dress I've never worn. She helped me organize, and sort and kept notes on what pieces I needed to replace or add. Katey was able to work within my budget to help me pack for an off-season trip and build my wardrobe at the same time. Katey understands how to shop for brands that best my body. This saves time, and makes getting dressed in the morning so much easier! Hire these ladies! Their professionalism and expertise cannot be matched.

Emily was my fashion "fairy godmother" for a recent photoshoot. I shared my details, aesthetic, and sizes and she was off to the races. She incorporated pieces of my own wardrobe, as well as new and affordable pieces to make sure that everything worked well together and provided a cohesive look and experience. She acted quickly despite numerous challenges to get everything done in the timeframe that I needed, and I know that I couldn't have done it without her. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer all of our different services (Closet Audits, Personal Shopping and Styling/Styling Sessions) individually, but we also have packages that are sometimes a better fit for our clients. We usually like to discuss individual needs with each client and can then discuss and/or customize a package that will fit their individual needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer complimentary consultations to all new clients. We feel it's so important to have the opportunity to sit down and get to know our client before working with them, and we also want to give our clients the opportunity to get to know us!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Finance and another bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising. The knowledge I gained during my studies of both degrees (although completely different) have both been very useful in starting and continuing to operate my business. I also worked for a designer, prior to starting Effortless Style, and they provided incredible ongoing training that was another great building block and knowledge base for me. Fashion is always changing...every day. In addition to my education and training in the industry, I'm constantly reading magazines and industry publications to stay up to date on the latest trends, industry news, etc. I also attend spring and fall trend events each year.
