After coming to the realization that I just wasn't motivating myself enough to go to the gym as much as I should and didn't know what exercises I should even be doing, I started looking for a trainer. I read reviews and did several google searches and found Don at Jole Fitness. He had great reviews and is reasonably priced. I figured I would give it a shot. After my first session I was hooked and after my first couple of sessions, I knew I wanted this to be a permanent lifestyle change. Don has a great personality- he is friendly and upbeat, which especially helps on those early mornings when it was so hard to get out of bed. He keeps you motivated and is encouraging while not pushing you or making you feel bad. He is attentive to my fitness goals and is also very knowledgeable about nutrition which is helpful in getting me to my ideal fitness level. He is also attentive to your concerns- if something hurts- he can tell you why and what to adjust, or how to stretch it, etc. Finally, he works to ensure that your workouts and nutrition fit into your lifestyle, whether that is flexible scheduling or adjusting recommendations to be realistic for you. As for results, I started noticing results quickly. I could feel the difference, and see it in the mirror and on the scale- which was great because I had felt like I had hit a plateau before coming to him. Don is a great trainer! He has a great ability to read your body and will adjust the exercises accordingly so you do not become complacent. He motivates without being a drill sgt. He really is a joy to work out with and is a great guy! If you commit to eating as he advises, not only will you learn alot about your body, but you WILL see the results you want! I've trained with him for several years now and not only have I seen amazing results (going from size 16 pants to 4) but every single one of his clients have results! Don of Jole Fitness has changed my perception on working out. He makes workouts fun and challenges me to push a little more each session. He doesn't scream in your face to "pick it up" or nonchalantly "dial it in" like you see other trainers in the gym doing. He's genuinely interested in your fitness level and you as a person. I was worried about bulking up with heavier weights, but Don's workouts have streamlined my body. I've dropped two dress sizes in 2 months and feel so much better overall. My husband and I have been working out with Don for almost 4 years now. When I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to continue to work out, stay in shape, and most importantly, prep my body for childbirth. Don has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about prenatal workouts. He has adjusted my workouts week after week with the progression of my pregnancy. He continues to push me to do my best, but never pushes me too far. Because of Don’s experience and knowledge, I have felt completely safe and comfortable continuing my workout regiment. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet with potential clients for an initial assessment and discussion of their goals. if all goes well and a "good fit" is established, we then get to work making your goals a reality! All we need is your 100% effort, and you leave the rest to us!!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Bio-mechanics. In addition, I am a certified practitioner of M.A.T.(Muscle Activation Technique) and hold multiple certifications in personal training, post-rehab, weight management, nutrition, pre and post-natal and program design.
