Dell customized a summer program for my daughter, who visited Nashville for a month: college level player practice partners, lessons, academy drills. He taught her new strategies that leveraged her innate advantages, which are key to a USTA tournament player like my daughter.

Kim is amazing! She's one of the sweetest women I've ever known. Her and her husband song a duet for me and I was swept off my feet!!!! They've shown me things I've never known about myself and I'm very ecstatic to be on this journey with them both. This is only the beginning and I look forward to working with them until God tells me otherwise.

Hello future student! My name is Tatia Rose and I am the Director of Nashville Music Academy. We develop each lesson based on the students goals, experience, and musical tastes. Any age and ability are welcome, and we have a thriving special needs music program at NMA. Personally, I have been a teacher for 12 years, and most of my staff has been teaching that long or longer. The Academy is a community of friends, teachers, parents, and students of all ages. Every year we gather in November at the Hermitage Hotel for our annual recital. We look forward to seeing you there this year! A lifetime of musical enjoyment is just one call away. We look forward to hearing from you!

About

Dr. Marcin Bela (B. M. New England Conservatory, D. M. A. University of Michigan) has helped hundreds of musicians find their artistic voice. He teaches professionals and hobbyists of all ages and stylistic directions, from Classical and Jazz to Hip-Hop, Metal and Bollywood. Studio recordings produced by Marcin Bela (featuring such artists as Mikky Ekko) have been licensed by television shows on HBO, VH1 and MTV. Everyone who seeks music education has a dream of creating a certain sound. It could be a million things - maybe playing the Moonlight Sonata, maybe singing and playing an Elton John song, often creating an original composition. Seeing the smile on a student's face when that dream becomes reality is my absolute favorite part of the job.

About

I have a Vocal Performance and Professional Music degree from the best commercial music school in the world, Berklee College of Music. I did my graduate voice studies at Belmont University, here in Nashville, and I continue to further my education and knowledge of vocal technique, function and health by attending regular seminars and training each year. I've worked as a professional singer, songwriter, performer, voice-over artist and television host for over 20 years. I started my career in music as a solo artist and I've played venues all over the US, big and small, singing my own music and covering all styles of commercial and classical music. I continue to work as a studio singer in Nashville. I co-hosted a nationally televised show on CMT (Country Music Television) and I've done a great deal of work as a voice-over artist for television and radio. Throughout all of these experiences I've worked with artists such as Blake Shelton, Sheryl Crow, Dolly Parton, Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, and Carly Simon, to name a few. I've built relationships with people in all aspects of the music industry, especially here in Nashville, and I'm able to guide my artists with real world experience of what works and what doesn't. Though I specialize in commercial music, I am also classically trained. I sing with the Nashville Symphony and I've worked with numerous children's choirs and musical productions, including the Nashville Children's Choir (NCC). I am a member of the Somatic Voicework Teachers Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). I get real joy and fulfillment from seeing my singers, of all experience and skill levels, further their abilities and reach their goals. Whether they get signed to their first artist or publishing deal, book their first major show, surprise their husband with a song at their wedding, get a lead role in their school play or blow everyone away with their newly amazing karaoke skills, I'm truly invested in my students and I love what I do!

About

The company I work for has been open for 30 years so right off the bat that tells me we're doing something right despite whatever contrary opinions are out there. The staff here are a family and like to make our students feel a part of our big dance family the moment they walk in the door. We are a 3-way system so group classes and Friday night (live band, open bar) parties are encouraged but not forced upon any student. This is so much more than just dancing, and I have realized that in my time here. I change lives for the better through something I am so passionate about, and it's amazing to watch the transformations happen right before your very eyes. That's my favorite part.

About

I create happy, healthy, musicians who are solid in music fundamentals, allowing them to take their music into any direction they would like to go throughout their lives - professional to hobbyist - classical, pop, country, singer-songwriter, musical theatre, jazz, bands. One of the greatest things we accomplish together is establishing 'the practice' of realistic goal setting, follow through, and then the discipline of instrument practicing 4 or more days per week (parent involvement and scheduling assessment for minor students is non-negotiable for optimal results). This is a process comes along with a lot of conversations over time, a lot of grace and a lot of finding out about what the student wants most for their life (even with the 5 year olds!) - sometimes that is preparing to be a professional musician, other times it is realizing music fully as an outlet. I teach students how to find their answers and to prioritize what is most important in their lives, and to love music. This foundation in reality also serves as a foundation for confidence and combats performance anxiety head on at its base level. Aside from developing the disciplines mentioned above- my focus with each student musically is to teach them to be rock solid in music theory (shape notes, chord charts and Nashville numbers). From this solid grounding, then we work across usually more than one instrument (voice, piano, beginning guitar, beginning violin, songwriting). I do not accept students who are not willing to learn music theory (even vocalists). I have taught music for 12 years, have a degree in music, am currently working on master's at Belmont (recently move to TN, from Santa Barbara). I currently have 13 students in the Nashville area, a few skype students in California. Lessons are weekly. Skype lessons also available for those outside of Nashville on a case by case basis. Please contact me to discuss your needs musically, and we can see if I am the right person to help you get those needs met.

About

Bob is so patient with the kids, always prepared with fun, engaging lessons. My daughter learned so much that I could not teach her. She also grew up with several kids who all became friends. It was a constant joy for her. Sometimes they did dramas, too! And a few times they performed piano students, singing, etc. for the seniors and family. A real blessing.😇

About

My goal as a teacher is to give a student an array of tools that he or she may choose to use while singing, in order to communicate emotions and feelings to the highest degree. Singing is a highly individual and personal act. I strive to train singers in a way that is supportive of their natural talents and expands their horizons as artists. As part of that goal, we will work on vocal production, musicality, musicianship and interpretation of texts, among other things in our time together. I have studied voice and teaching at the college and graduate level, and I am always excited to teach new students!
