- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a DJ of almost 23 years. He worked for radio stations like The American Forces Radio and Television Network as well as F.E.N.(Far East Network) He was still playing music on those things they called records. Can you imagine that? No cd's, no computer programming? Growing up, I had many visits to the radio studio to see my dad, sometimes getting to do fun things like turn a dial for this or load a cart machine up with that. I have aired on public service announcements as early as 8 years old. I think my first one was for a drunk driving p.s.a. Fast forward a few years and I am in the military (U.S.Army Infantry) stationed at Fort Campbell Ky. In the last year of my service in the Army,I was offered a job at a popular nightclub in Madison Tennessee called Denim & Diamonds. There, I worked as a DJ until I was honorably dicharged from active duty service. I then moved back to my hometown of Panama City Beach Fla. Where I continued with my disk jockey carreer, working at some of the hottest nighclubs and bars, working yachtclubs,working at hotels, doing college parties and running a very successfull mobile DJ business as well on the side. At the end of 2000 I returned to Nashville to open and maintain residency at a newly opening nightclub on 2nd Avenue. I have been a staple in many of the hottest nightclubs in Nashville as well as having two dance mix remix shows on both 102.5 The Party and 107.5 The River.
