Accepted the job. Said he’d start middle of next week. Middle of next week he doesn’t start, said he’d start Friday, after 3:00, probably 3:30. Friday, He shows up at 3:00 when I’m not home, doesn’t call or get started. Instead he leaves and texts he’d be by the next day (Sat) and I’m not going to be home because I’m working. Then he texts and says he’s not the right person for the (simple trim painting) job. He shouldn’t accept jobs if he isn’t going to follow through.Apr 20, 2018VerifiedJeff P.'s reply
First of all I’d like to say I value my customers very much . Without them I wouldn’t be able to make a living . However Janes facts are incorrect . The first day we met she was late , no big deal then drives in the garage shuts the to let her two big dogs out to jump all over me . We agree on the price then the day I’m supposed to start work she changes what she wants done via email while I’m parked in the driveway ready to start work . House is 6yrs old and shutters did not need pressure washing and if she wanted me to pressure wash before I started work there would need to be dry time and I would need to get my pressure washer. Simple trim job yes . Communication is the key here this customer was not going to be happy and had lots of worries at this point I thought she would be better served by another professional.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to talk about their project , their goal . The specifics to make sure we're on the same page . Ultimately I want to make sure the customer is comfortable with my qualifications and price .
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?For 30 years now I have been remodeling houses . I enjoy the work and the people . What started as a hobby became a source of income .
