Introduction: I am retired military, I choose to do this work because I like to do this work, not because I have to. This allows me to keep prices down. Helping folks make one of the most important decisions of their lives is very rewarding! If possible, I will walk my customers thru the house after my inspection and show them exactly what I am seeing and also provide some home maintenance and energy savings tips along the way.

My wife and I couldn't have asked for more of a professional and thorough inspector than Gary. His attention to detail is second to none. He made several visits to our home during construction to ensure our builder/subs didn't overlook even one inspectable item, down to the appropriate spacing of outlets and required hardware for the attic ladder in the garage. Great job!

Mr. Porter did a very detailed inspection. He did not rush the process. He was very pleasant to talk with and did a follow up phone call and next day meeting. I would use his services again. !!!

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, we are required by the state of Texas to take continuing education units to keep our license. I'm also in the process of finishing up a Bachelors degree in Construction Management.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had some very expensive experiences early on and a good home inspections would have taken care of them. I retired from the military and still wanted to help people. My attention to detail lifestyle and home renovation experience, this seemed like the perfect fit.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do inspections on existing homes and also on new construction. The city normally provides Phase inspections to the builders on new construction homes. I can do something similar and report back to you and/or work with your builder.
