Check out the facility. See if the stalls are taken care of and in good repair. Find out what the policy for vet work and farriers is. Make sure the owners or trainers have a good contact number for you to reach them. Watch how the staff or other customers handle the horses in order to get a good feel for the care the horses get. Ask questions about the feed they feed. See what kind of reputation they have in the community. Find out if most clients come and stay or is there a high amount of turnover of people. Watch the horses that are at the farm to see if they appear peaceful and healthy.
