FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! I attended dog training seminars and conferences as much as possible. Usually at least one a year, if not more. I also watch many videos, read books and chat on forums and connect with other dog trainers through Facebook and other sources.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a dog in college that was awful. He ended up biting me and breaking skin. I knew then I needed to get him help, but more so I needed to be educated on what and how to do this! And my career began that day . . .
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Many people assume dog training is more like a hobby rather than an actual field of work. The truth is for someone to be a truly good dog trainer one must understand canines as a species and how to properly communicate with them. There are many ways to train a dog but using modern, scientific methods are the only way to get results and have a great companion.
