Martha has been a blessing to me and Cooper! He absolutely loves their daily walks! He was having some separation anxiety problems and with Martha's help, he's practically cured! We both love her so much! I am at ease at work knowing that Cooper is well taken care of and Martha is also there to let me know everything is okay at home. Hands down- hiring her was the best decision I've ever made!Apr 21, 2013Verified

Martha is taking care of our beloved cat child while my husband has an extended hospital stay. She has shown great professionalism towards me and is very loving towards my cat. I visited my cat for the first time in 5 days, and she is clearly being taken care of very well.Nov 25, 2018VerifiedMartha's Dog and Cat Services's reply
Thanks so much for the great review, Darcy. I am glad to help.
Martha did a great job! She was very thorough in gathering info on my 4 cats before I left, and she did everything we had agreed on. I will use her the next time I go out of town! I highly recommend her services.Oct 15, 2012Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge per visit, not per hour. Visit length depends on both the needs of your particular pet(s) and your preferences. Visits may last up to one hour, but the average is about 30 minutes. I charge $20 per visit for up to 2 pets. Each additional pet adds $2 per visit to your fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Once the client has made contact with me, we talk on the phone to answer each other's initial questions. Then we set up a meet and greet, I email the paperwork, the client fills it out, and we go over it in person. If the client has a dog, I also do a temperament test at that meeting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?An animal lover since childhood, I have worked as a care specialist in an upscale boarding facility, a veterinary technician, and a dog bather. My career as a college textbook editor never made me as happy as I am when I work with pets. I decided that having my own petsitting business would be the best way to take care of dogs and cats in a way that brings as much joy to them as it does to me.
