Jackie did an amazing job. More importantly, my dogs adored her! She obviously knows and loves dogs. )the cat loved her too.)
We were going out of town for two days and provided detailed guidelines for taking care of our Abyssinian cat. Kat took care of everything nicely, and went above and beyond by sending regular updates about the cat and the house. She kept everything clean, and even sent photos of the cat during each visit.
Carrie is the best cat sitter ever! We have a shy cat, and she treated Carrie like she's known her forever. Carrie is very patient and made sure to send us photos or videos of our cat every day. We highly recommend her.
Kevin as great with the entire experience. He is very flexible, understanding and wonderful working with animals. We did the board and train and our dog is so much better behaved then when we dropped her off. She is much more calm and better behaved. I would definitely recommend Kevin and will always use him for boarding our dog when we need it in the future.
Shani was great from start to finish! The meet and greet was a breeze (my cat actually liked her!), and I felt totally comfortable leaving my cat in her care while I was away. Every time she came over, I received updates and pictures of my fur baby. Shani provided all the services I needed, and for a great value. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I would highly recommend ATX Super Sitters for anyone who needs a pet sitter!
My boyfriend and I adopted a 6 week old pit bull named Huck in November 2013 the very first night we brought him home to feed him, I leaned down to pet him and he immediately starting growling. We tried to work with him ourselves but his food aggression started escalating as he got older and he also started being very aggressive towards us and family before he was 4 mo. Old. Our vet at the time told us that he needed to be neutered ASAP. So after we did that, we expected him to be more calm and less aggressive. Nothing really changed except he became more aggressive to the point where he would never let us give him a bath, clip his nails, being at the vet, pet him while he was eating or had any kind of bones to chew on, putting a collar on him, getting close to him and trying to touch his face. He would lash out at us if we did any of those things. It broke my heart more than anyone could understand because I was always so loving and affectionate towards my other dogs and the fact that I couldn't even love on my dog just ate me up. I became very scared of him and anytime he growled at me which was daily, I just left him alone. Me and my boyfriend have taken him to a few dog trainers in the past but we were turned away because they said he was too agressive and he should probably be put down. We even were recommended to go see a (Dog Phychiatrist) so he could be put on meds forever to help him be obedient. When I found out how much that was, it was insanely amount of money that we just couldn't afford. I was actually starting to consider to have him euthanized because so many people have told us that he is just to dangerous. I felt so alone and I just didn't want to be scared of my own dog anymore. My final attempt to get him help was actually on thumbtack. I listed my needs for a dog trainer and explained how agressive he was and expected to get no reply back from anyone because of his behavior. But then within 5 minutes of me posting my request, Christie said that she could help us. My boyfriend and I were kind of skeptical about it at first cause we didn't think she fully understood his condition and that maybe she just turn us away like all the others. But she explained to me that dealing with agressive breeds was actually her specialty which made me feel a lot better. On His very first day there of training he acted up pretty bad and Christie told that Huck needed to stay there for a while so she could work one on one with him without us being around. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make at that point but we decided to leave him there. It was very hard on us but we would have rather had to say goodbye for a little than have to say goodbye to him forever. Christie made us feel better by sending us emails and pictures almost daily about Huck's progress. We were finally able to bring him home 3 months later and we could not be more pleased with his behavior right now. I can finally say that we are able to put Huck's collar on him, clip his nails, and my most favorite part of all, he finally let's us love all over him and get close and touch his face. We know that he still has a long way to go, but he has made so much progress and we are so thankful from the bottom of our hearts for Christie. She is absolutely amazing with all of the dogs. You can really tell that she is genuine and really cares about what she does. We are learning so much from her and Ms.Jessica. That is why we drive 3 hours to see her for Class every Saturday morning from Houston.
I love Austin Dog Zone! My dog, a Basenji named Loki, has some anxiety issues. After adopting him for the local shelter, it soon became apparent that I would need some help. He was scared of everything: dogs, people, noises, and even things I couldn't see or hear. I turned to Austin Dog Zone for help with this, especially his on-leash reactivity. The moment we met trainer Caitlin Lane I was impressed, she obviously knew what she was doing. Over the course of four private lessons at my home she taught me everything I needed to know to help Loki with his anxiety. 2 and a half years later and Loki and I can go to the park and meet other people and dogs worry-free! I genuinely believe Caitlin is the best dog trainer in Austin. She's naturally good with dogs, she's extremely knowledgeable (I've never had a question that she couldn't answer), and she's infinitely patient. I really like that she focuses not only on training the dogs, but on teaching the owner what they need to progress without her. I've only met fellow ADZ trainer Reed Morgan once, but after talking with her I was very confident she was of similar caliber. Megan Sartori came on board after I moved to Dallas, but I have no doubts she's great. Finally, Laura Neiheisel is always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond over email. I know she does a ton of work behind the scenes, but in addition to that she's a fantastic liaison for the company. To sum up, Caitlin and ADZ have had a lasting impact on my life and the life of my dog. I'm so grateful for all their help!
I took my 17 pound cat in to be washed and groomed because I can't do it by myself. Adrianna was very nice and after filling out the necessary paperwork she got to my baby right away. The store itself isn't very large - I actually drove right past it while trying to find it for the first time - but it gets the job done and it is a friendly environment. My cat is extremely fluffy, so we opted to just shave her belly so she wouldn't be dragging her hair everywhere. This part is fine, but we also trimmed her backend and that part wasn't quite as cleanly done as I would have liked. Once I got her home, I was still pulling out clumps of hair that had been shaved/trimmed but not brushed out, however, I'm just going to blame this on how extremely fluffy she is. Other than those things, it was a great experience and I thought Adrianna handled my pet very well. I'll definitely go back when the time comes!
She came to take care of my cats when she said she would and sent text updates and pictures when she did.
Shelby is a gift from God that enjoys her work in grooming pets. She has done miracles with all my dogs 7 in total at one time! She loves animals ! She has even bonded with my Chullo that won't take to many ! She has my up most recommendation to groom your pets!
Holiday Pet Hotel was the best place I have found for boarding my babies. They are clean and affordable and took care of my baby with lots of LOVE! I would highly recommend them.
Cindy of Meghan's Treasures Pet Sitting has been a lifesaver for my family and our two dogs. We had previously boarded our animals when we traveled, which was a bit expensive and also caused anxiety for our dogs. We decided to give Cindy and her service a try and is has been fantastic. The dogs love her and they get stay in the comfort of their own home while we are gone. She comes to feed them, let them out to potty, and interact with them three times per day and it is still cheaper than boarding them and they have far less separation anxiety now. I highly recommend Cindy. She is the best!
Amanda is the best groomer I have ever had for my terrier mix dog. She knows how to bring out the best look for each breed. Also she is an experienced and certified cat groomer.
My focus is on mid-day dog walks and pet sitting. Daily visits consist of 30-minutes walks for your pet to stretch their legs and have a potty break. Perfect for the new puppy who is being crate trained and needs to be let out during the day. Pet sitting for those who want a weekend getaway or extended vacation with up to three visits per day. Although my primary care is for dogs and cats, I also care for fish, birds, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and gerbils.
