Leslie Wellons and Faulous Affairs did a fantastic job for our Versante Canyon Residents Holiday Party. We had over 100 guest and she made us some fabulous food that pleased everyone's palates. The Cocktail meatballs in cranberry- brown sugar sauce (bourbon-mustard or chipotlé BBQ) was to die for!The other items we had on menu were: Chicken tenders served with honey mustard Mini smoked sausage en croute served with Dijon Cant stop eating it spinach dip served hot with pita & tortilla chips Cheddar cheese log rolled in nuts served with crackers, berries & grapes Cocktail meatballs in cranberry- brown sugar sauce (bourbon-mustard or chipotlé BBQ) Crudités basket to include: celery, cucumber, grape tomatoes, roasted new potatoes, olives, pickles, carrots, broccoli/cauliflower florets, & peppers with creamy herb dip Assorted cookies We had leftovers because she made so much food for our guests. The cost was so very reasonable as well. Leslie was on time with the food and on time picking up the empty serving dishes. Her setup was decorative and efficient. I would recommend Leslie Wellons and Fabulous Affairs to anyone who needs a wonderful caterer with a large group of folks. We will be using Leslie Wellons next year for our 2nd Annual Holiday Party at Versante Canyon! Cheers!
Manor Grass and Landscape Services did a great job on our Christmas decorations. They arrived promptly and worked professionally at a reasonable price. The cold and wind were terrible, but they pressed on and completed the job in a timely manner and to my satisfaction.
We could not have made it through our wedding without Barbara Cooper, or Saint Barbara as I will call her! At first, we just hired her for our day-of coordination, but as the tasks started to pile up, my mom made the smart decision to hire her on as a full-time coordinator. It was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process! Barbara's calm demeanor, professionalism and positive attitude were the perfect match for this stressful time. She had many great ideas, design supplies and was very organized with To-Do Lists and Timelines that allowed our multi-day celebrations to run smoothly. Her decorations for our Meet and Greet and for the Wedding Day were perfect! I was so pleased with the way everything turned out. On the wedding day, Barbara was there from start to finish. We gave her a few items we wanted at the entrance for the guest sign-in and the display was perfect and really reflected our style! The table settings with burlap runners and small votive candles brought added romance to night. The biggest asset of having Barbara on our team was being able to leave the venue with our friends at the end of the night, knowing that everything was taken care of. All of the vendors had been paid by simply giving Barbara the checks with tips to hand out, all of the leftover food and alcohol was packed up and transported and all of our decorations, including flowers were collected and brought to where they needed to be. I have heard horror stories of couples celebrating their big day only to have to stay late to clean and tie up loose ends. Barbara ensured that all we had to do at the end of the night was walk under the lit sparklers held up by all our guests (which Barbara provided), get on our shuttle bus and enjoy the magical day that had just taken place. I would also like to add that Barbara's assistant was a huge help all weekend! They really worked great as a team to get things done expeditiously and beautifully. Hiring a wedding planner is the smartest thing you can do for your big day, and hiring Saint Barbara with Austin Event Studios is the perfect choice!
Twyla was always ready to meet with me at the venue and gave very helpful ideas on how to decorate the venue. The flower arrange ments were beautiful,but some of them got wilted and droopy before the wedding was completed. The way how the flowers were posiitoned in the vases with tape holdong them up may have had something to do with it. The corsages for the mothers were made with ribbons and was hard to stay in place. After I received the corsages from Twyla, there was no follow up to assign someone to distribute them. Grandmothers were given flowers from the flower arrangements. It was not clear to me if there was an extra arrangement for the single ladies. We used one of the bridesmaids arrangement. The type of flower used does not last to long nice and crisp. The flower arrangement on top of the gazebo disapeared before the end of the night when I went looking for it. They told me that the company had picked it up already. The boutoneers were very nicely done. Thanks you for your timely service and helpful service.
I hired Shelley to decorate my home near Blanco. She did a wonderful job and I'm very satisfied with her selections. She picked colors, furniture, appliances, etc. She was a joy to work with. I know exactly what I like in home decorating. So I thought that when I decided to re-decorate my downstairs it would be a fairly simple task. Wrong. After spending several days at the furniture store trying to pick out fabrics for my new furniture I couldn't believe my sense of overwhelm & lack of ability to make a decision. I called Cathy right away. She came to the furniture store with me. I told her what I liked and BAM! Fabric started to fly. Within a very short time she had my dream living room designed. I couldn't believe it. How did she do that? My whole downstairs is so beautiful and cohisive. I have never had my entire downstairs fully designed at one time before. I have learned a great lesson that I will never have to learn again. You may have an amazing affinity for good art, but that doesn't mean you can create a painting. It just means you can pick out a great artist or spot a great piece of art. Well, my affinity for great home decor led me to spotting Cathy. Tell Cathy what your style is and she will literally make your imagination come to fruition.
Absolutely loved the owner Vernetta & her staff. My wedding was absolutely beautiful. On that day, I didn't have a care in the world! Vernetta took care of every detail. Vernetta was cery responsive to my fiancé and I questions and concerns about the venue and the expenses. The food, the decorations, the centerpieces were all memorable for myself and my guests. I highly recommend Soul Food Heaven.
We hired Murphy to consult on all the details of our home renovation, including picking out materials, flooring, paint colors, lighting, and furniture. She was incredibly helpful in navigating the hundreds of options that are out there for each item, and steered us towards selections that were true to our original vision for the house. Murphy is very easy going, straightforward, and fun to work with. And her design sense is incredible! We would absolutely recommend Murphy for any interior design or decorating job.
Our darling little house had been on the market for a few months with no bites. I decided to give Elizabeth a try. I immediately liked her ideas and enthusiasm. She did everything she said she would ON TIME (which matters a lot to me). The place fabulous and she went back often to make sure things were spotless and ready for showing. Janae coordinated the decorations for my low key wedding. I told her the theme and colors and she came up with the rest. I like that when it comes to business, she is always professional. She stays in touch during her creative process. Janae shows up on time and implements the vision flawlessly without my assistance. It was one less major thing that I didn't have to worry about. This is the second event Janae has coordinated for me. The first was a larger wedding for my daughter. I was impressed with her then and her talents have improved even more. She is truly a gifted interior designer/decorator who keenly listened to our likes/dislikes, and encouraged us every step of the way to make choices resulting in a comfortable space perfectly individualized for us!

Kristy was the event planner for my husband's 50th bday party..Everything was good!! I loved the decor. I just wished I was closer to her, because I stressed myself out because she lived in a whole different state than I. Also, I gave her a short time to work a miracle, but she was able to handle it.
I would highly recommend Decorator for Hire. Alicia helped me redecorate my master bed and bath, creating a relaxing retreat. Knowing I wanted to use my existing furnishings, Alicia helped me select and install new bedding, accessories, decor and new paint for the walls. Alicia was there to give me guidance, but also allowed me to have input in the process. I have a difficult time making decisions so Alicia was very patient and helped me see the big picture and not get caught up in every minor detail. If I had ideas that were above my budget, Alicia gave me alternative options that were within my budget and still accomplished my goal. She had some wonderful ideas that I would have never thought of and wouldn't have been able to do on my own. Her eye for great finds is an added bonus!
