ACA upgraded our home theater and whole house audio. Chris and Dana were great to work with providing excellent technical and design advise. They really spent a lot of time to understand our needs, and were very flexible through the process to help us understand options and get us exactly what we wanted. We couldn't be happier with the job and the service. I highly recommend ACA.
Whole house interior painting including popcorn ceiling removal as well as painting kitchen cabinets. Good and efficient crew with reasonable pricing. Ms. Ross, the owner has design background and excellent advice on what works well in color selections. Very good attention to detail. In addition to painting, she produced a very competitive bid for tiling ~740 sq feet 12x24 of floor tiles. The tiling crew she provided installed the tile first with good preparation then installed tiles with very fine grout lines as requested. Overall, very impressed and would hire again for future work.
Shelley helped us with all exterior and interior design decisions when we built our Lake Travis home. People always comment on what a warm, beautiful home we have. She is the MASTER of color and stayed within (or below) our budget! Thank you Shelley, for a beautiful house to go home to everyday!
I had been stood up by another professional for an entry way wallpaper project the day before an event and contacted Craig via thumbtack in desperation. Craig carefully reviewed my project and decided that he could get it done in time. He worked very late hours to carefully prep my damaged walls and then did an amazing job with the wallpaper. I love the end result and can't say enough about how grateful I am to Craig and how pleased I am with the whole experience. Austin is lucky to have a professional like Craig that communicates, is timely and does beautiful work at a fair price!
Had a pre meeting with Autumn before closing on new home. I knew immediately she was the designer to help me create my dream home. Round One: all paint colors and options have been picked and my home is fabulous with paint and double crown molding! color ... Is exciting. Updates with more design with Autumns ideas as they roll out;). Very pleased!
Murphy Moon is a fantastic interior designer who happens to be strikingly good at couple's counseling. As new owners of a beautiful blank-slate home, my husband and I wanted to start the interior out right by coming up with a solid decorating plan. Unfortunately, with one of us favoring modern minimalism and the other preferring traditional with a touch of whimsy, we didn't get very far on our own. Enter Murphy Moon! From the very start, Murphy helped us to identify styles we both loved and new ways to create a space that's functional, comfortable, cool and lovely. When we were unable to find pieces we both liked or with the ideal measurements, she simply designed them herself and had them made! And the few times we couldn't seem to agree on something, Murphy always had an entirely different idea in her back pocket that was inevitably perfect. My favorite part about working with Murphy is that she approaches the project as a member of the team and inspires you to do the same. She doesn't try to take over or judge you or strong-arm you into anything. She listens to what you want, she helps you identify things you love and she works with you to create a space/a home/a plan that works. It sounds cliche, but she truly made our home a reflection of BOTH of us, only better. Add to that her obsession with detail; fluency in all ten zillion paint colors, wallpapers and fabrics; cheerful disposition; and ability to stick to a budget and I think you'll see why we truly can't recommend Murphy enough. (Not to mention the added benefit of letting her deal with stores/etc. who don't hold up their end of the bargain. She's such a sweetheart, until you cross her or her client. It's AWESOME.) We'd give her ten stars if we could.
I've had multiple projects going on at my house, which I've hired different people for. This really gave me the opportunity to compare experiences between different companies. I have to say that Chris at HomeIsHowYouBuildIt is friendly, reliable, very thorough and efficient, from the beginning to the end of projects. He is incredibly knowledgeable, he works quickly, and the quality of his work is nothing short of perfect. I am in love with how my projects turned out.
Suzanna helped us with designing our new kitchen in our home. It was so easy to work with her since she naturally has an amazing eye for design and space. After discussing our needs, she put all our ideas and input into plans that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Fabulous and talented designer. I can always trust her color sense, unique ideas and suggestions. I will always consult her when designing or choosing new elements for our home.
Cinda has designed multiple rooms for me. She has an eye for color and scale. Very creative ideas that always surprised me. She was able to design modern, traditional, mid century etc rooms in my house. I would say all are a success. Thanks Cinda!
Great color consultation. She takes the time to get to know you and helps you chose paint colors that go with your personality.
Heather Toolin worked with us on a multi-family project. Her eye for color and scale shows the depth of her experience in this business. She was quick to put meetings together, make selections and put packages together while still giving time for client input and keeping an eye on the project budget. Our experience with Heather as a design professional was exactly that...professional. Overall it was a great collaborative effort with beautiful results.
Bhavani was hired to help refurbish an old home. She drove from Austin to Houston to see the home, take measurements. She then provided drawings for demo work, lighting, kitchen redesign, paint colors. She continued to answer questions throughout the process and provide additional drawings for items that came up. The house is looking great, already have some buyers and renters asking about it and its still not finished.
Anne has done many jobs for me, removed wallpaper, then textured, and fauxed my kitchen, master bath. She also painted a suede texture in my spare bath and bedroom. What sets Anne apart from others is her nack for mixing her own paints on site tweaking it to perfection. She even painted my wall plates in the kitchen to match the small stone accent stripe perfectly, you can even tell it's not stone. As an added accent in the bathroom, Anne painted a vine of flowers. Anne listens to what you want and if she feels there would be a better choice she politely suggests without being pushy or knocking your ideas. All jobs were completed in a timely manner and she cleans up after. Anne also can rearrange items to make them look like a picture from Better Homes & Gardens. I would highly recommend Eye on Design for any type of interior design. I've also seen her fix other designers mistakes with amazing results. A real talent since it's twice as hard to correct a color error than to start fresh. Anne truly has an "Eye on Design." I have recommend Anne to many of my friends and all have been extremely pleased with the finished work and the quote.
I am a professional photographer who works with many stagers in the Austin area and I have to say Luxury Lane Staging's style, inventory and detail are top notch. The colors flow from room to room, and each room seems to tell a story. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a professional team to stage their home.
Marjorie has helped me in Houston as well as Austin in getting a new house to feel like home. She is an excellent listener and works to get a sense of who you are and your style. Whenever possible, she used what I already had, thus saving me time and money. She provides choices for me, letting me have the final say. I've always loved what we have been able to create together and that's what it feels like.... that I've designed my own living space.... but with the help of a professional. She has a true gift with color mixing and can produce shades and tints that were only in the imagination. She is prompt, upfront about money and has tireless energy for any project. The job took longer than expected but only because I kept adding on things to our 'to do' list. I highly recommend Marjorie to bring just the right amount of Austin quirk and classy city style to your design project.
Logynn knows exactly what she is doing. Without knowing me, and without being able to visit my home, she was able to pinpoint exactly what was going on in my life from the floor plan and photos I sent her. She gave specific, individualized recommendations that started producing results in hours. She also helped educate me to understand how Feng Shui works so that I can do some things for myself. Logynn is friendly, and professional, and fun to work with.
Victoria helped me with color choices (there is not just one 'white'), moving and placing art, moving and removing furniture for better flow and usability, and she really helped me figure out how I wanted the rooms to FEEL. Oh yes, ORGANIZATION!! She helped maximize and better utilize my kitchen spaces, pantry and drawers and we created a coffe/tea bar that is now a welcoming useable area.
The job was a major remodel of a 2.5 million soft contemporary in Laguna Beach, California. Cindy has an innate ability to visualize a space in new ways that others hadn't contemplated. Her selection of materials and colors and accents complimented the environment and the structure in a subtle but sophisticated way. We moved the kitchen and opened up the entry to an expansive ocean view originally blocked by a kitchen wall. The materials and color pallets were soft contemporary including custom color integrated polished cement floors with stainless 5' by 5' expansion joints, an Italian imported rift quarter sawn white oak kitchen cabinetry with contemporary Italian hardware and sand blasted glass upper cabinet doors, a back-painted glass backsplash wall with all Gaggenau appliances, custom stainless steel countertops with a 5" reveal made in Italy with a seamless double sink, an in-counter kitchen machine by Gaggenau; all European Philppe Stark toiletry (with in-wall tanks); Hansgrohe faucets made in Germany, built in cabinetry made from unique sustainable reconstituted wood (with glass panes) and spot lighting, color impregnated and waterproofed allowing us to use the product for wet countertops and floating bar-top as well. Portuguese limestone slab imported and used to clad the bar and to tie it into the matching 12 x 24 tiles used throughout the bathrooms (wall to wall). Stainless steel countertop sink bowls were installed on waterproof reconstituted wood countertops with 12" vertical chrome spouts imported from Germany. The house was a showpiece and was the subject of an extensive photo shoot paid for by Bosch Seimens Home Appliances for publication and advertisements for their Gaggenau brand. The home was featured in several design publications and on the cover of Space magazine.
