Janice is great! She’s knowledgeable , thorough and kind. Makes you feel smart. Glad to have her as a coach.May 22, 2018VerifiedI'm not a Geek.com's reply
Thanks so much Diane!!
Janice is terrific! Great communications skills, and she was very responsive to what specifically I wanted to learn. Her years as a teacher really show. I'm not very computer literate, and she was very patient and understanding.Apr 24, 2018VerifiedI'm not a Geek.com's reply
Thanks for the kind words!
Flexibility. Janice follows the student's needs, answering in an appropriate way to the questions, w/o forcing her needs/preferences on the student. If she doesn't have an answer, she'll look into it and deliver it either via e-mail or at the following lesson. Daniela de FalcoMay 9, 2017Verified
Janice has a very special way to educate and teach you at whatever level you are in and in whatever system you prefer. I highly recommend "I'm not a Geek. com"!!! AbrahamOct 8, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My regular charge when I come out to your home is $40 an hour. Twice a week I have groups in my home where I charge $20 per person. If there are more than three people the price goes down. There are some customers who have subscribed to me for $35 a month and call or have me come over to help them when they need it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I take some online courses and do regular reading. If there is a problem I cannot solve I learn how to do it. I write a weekly blog http://helpimnotageek.blogspot.com and often do research on the subjects I write about.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was a teacher and became a Technology teacher who trained both teachers and students. I loved it, but often the technology support person is the first to go when the budget gets tight. Having my own business allows me to be flexible with my time and I don't have anyone who lays me off.
