- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a monthly fee of $120 for at least 4 half hour lessons. If there is a 5th occurrence of our regular meeting day in a given month then it is complimentary. If I have to travel then there will be a charge depending on how far I have to drive. Also, I offer discounts to families with 3 or more children.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It usually depends on the age of the student. If it’s a child I like to speak with the parents about their individual needs and usually recommend a book(s) depending on where they are. Often times the first lesson is spent just allowing them to get comfortable with me. For adults the process is somewhat similar, but more focused on just finding out what their needs are over the phone before we meet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor’s of Music degree from UT Austin. I am also a professional bassist/composer and educator.
