House Cleaning

I was scrambling to schedule someone to clean our rental while we moved into our new house and Keitha was quick to respond to schedule our cleaning. She was patient, kind, and understanding in the midst of all my moving chaos frustrations. Stephanie cleaned our house thoroughly leaving it absolutely sparkling! My Austin Maid is an amazing company. I’m very pleased with the quick response, reasonable flat rate, clean and professional website (user friendly), and impeccable staff members. Not only does the staff speak well about the company but they value their leader. My house did not need much but I’m very grateful to have used them. The details they put in to ensure my house was well cleaned, every nook and cranny was taken care of, and I can truly relax with no worries. The associate, Meghan did and amazing job. She provided me some insight to some structural changes and maintenance that will prevent me from having major issues. Spots I never realized were dirty are looking fresh and clean. Love to use them in the future as a regular!!

House Cleaning

I had a good experience with My Austin Maid. I like that they do not charge your card until they check in and make sure you're happy with the service provided. Overall, I was pleased with the work that was done, even though there were some small communication issues, which are explained later in this review. High Quality Work: I booked a "deep cleaning" and mentioned in the booking notes that I would prefer that they leave the clutter in my house alone and concentrate on deep cleaning the dust, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, and even the baseboards if possible, rather than making beds, doing laundry, and/or dishes. They followed this direction beautifully! I found baseboards were cleaner than expected, and some tough hard water stains on the bathroom floor near the tub had been removed. Great work and attention to detail! My gross toilet (which has been damaged by improper cleaning in the past) was also much cleaner than I can get it at any given time. I appreciated that my things were not all moved around and in different places than where I left them. I could tell she didn't spend time trying to straighten my clutter, and I appreciated that very much. Logistics/Communication Struggles: When I booked on a Monday, I got confirmation through Thumbtack that minute, and heard personally from the company on Thursday to collect my credit card info. I think a nice touch would have been for them to have sent quick personal text through the app from someone at the company that day, but I tried to just trust that app. I explained in the app booking notes that I would be gone on the day of cleaning and that I would leave the key under the mat. I reiterated that when I gave her my credit card number via the phone on Thursday. Despite having mentioned this is 2 places on 2 days, they called at 9:20 on the day of the cleaning and said the crew was at my door and no one was answering. I explained again that I left my key under the mat for them. It wasn't a big deal because I was available by phone, but if I had been unreachable in a meeting or something, would they have been able to get in and start cleaning my house? Also, how much time and energy was wasted on this logistical issue for the people who are there to clean the house? The only other thing I would change is that I was told they'd be done in about 4 hours, which would have been 1:00pm. I ended up having a longer day away than I expected, and pulled up to my house at 4:00 PM and was surprised to find a crew member finishing up. Not a huge deal for me, but if I had been expecting to have guests over to my house that afternoon, my plans would have been disrupted, so I feel it is worth noting. Overall, there were a few kinks, but I think that's to be expected with any one-time cleaning. I am certain that if given the opportunity, this company and its crew would be up to the task of getting into a rhythm with a client and honoring their preferences as requested. I am grateful to My Austin Maid for my clean home.

House Cleaning

I wish there was a way for my to select 5 stars on EVERYTHING. Not only were they completely wonderful, they worked with us on time and getting our place cleaned up after the Snowpocalypse of 2021 where we were basically a rotating hotel for our friends and their animals. I could not highly recommend them more. Our house is sparkling and I have nothing but good things to say about both the maid they sent and their owner. Will ABSOLUTELY be hiring them again if and when we need to. Don't hesitate to book them!!
