Luz is fabulous! So personable and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for Spanish lessons.
She gave me Spanish lessons, she really managed to have me learn as much as possible. She is a nice teacher, she is funny and resourceful. She has good teaching skills and methodology.
Emilio is a fantastic Spanish tutor. I had been learning without a lot of structure for a while so he's really helped me go back and fine-tune my understanding of some of the more tricky elements of Spanish grammar. He also does a good deal of conversation work, which is the hardest thing to practice imo.
Eugene is a wonderful teacher and human being. He has rich life experience and perspective that he brings to his work as a Spanish and French teacher, which makes the lessons that much more enjoyable!
Hector is a very nice young man. He is full of energy and definitely puts a lot of work into preparing for his lessons. He is very knowledgable about the Spanish language with a breadth of vocabulary.
Andrea is AMAZING! She meets with my 9 year old son weekly, and he really enjoys his lesson. He never complains about going and she always has a smile on her face. I am so happy we found her!
I have taken many Spanish classes over the years. I have studied in college classrooms and with tutors both native speaker and not. Ryan was the best teacher I ever had. He really knew how to get me to speak in Spanish. The lessons were interesting and he incorporated my personal interests into the lessons; cooking, art, biking, immigration issues, México... He was also very flexible with my schedule and class location. I highly recommend Ryan.
Cory is able to assess my skills and work from my level in a very non intimidating approach. His lessons are tailored to help me with my weaknesses. I'm learning tons and gaining confidence.
My 3 friends and I found Diana’s teaching style to be fun and relaxed but very effective. We let her know in advance that we were more interested in developing our listening and conversational Spanish than having school-like classes following a textbook, and she was perfect for this. She brought in music from her native Ecuador, Spanish videos, and other fun material that meant that the lessons flew by. She encouraged us to speak in Spanish at all times, which really helped us to develop our vocabulary and expression as we asked questions in Spanish and attempted to explain ourselves. Overall, the classes were great fun, very interactive, and productive in terms of improving our spoken Spanish. We would all absolutely recommend her!
Fun learning environment. Classes tailored to suit your needs.
I have recently returned from living two years in Spain working as an ESL teacher and private English tutor. I also studied a master's in Spanish language and literature at my local university there and took extra classes in Spanish as a foreign language instruction. I am so excited to be stateside to help students learn a language and culture I love so much! I think classes work best when a student knows what they want to take the classes. Whether it be a better vocabulary, stronger grammar, or improved conversation skills, I am happy to help! Classes start at $40 an hour and I will be individually tailored to your needs. Contact me for more information and to determine if we are a good fit!
I teach Spanish language, interactively and differently, using music, food and more. It can be really fun.
I am a native Spanish speaker from Santiago, Chile. I also speak fluent English, so there is very little confusion between my students and myself. I teach practical Spanish, meaning, I use conversations between my students and I for them to learn. I also use activities and worksheets for visual memory; for example, pictures of items are given; the students write what the item is and a sentence, with proper grammar, that includes the item. I hope you consider me for your tutoring experience!
