Jake is definitely the most skilled guitar teacher I've had and overall a great guy. He can do any genre of music you throw at him any style. He creates a lesson plan based around your goals and does everything step by step without overwhelming you with loads of information. I would highly recommend his services.

My husband and I just had our first few lessons with Trevor and we couldn’t recommend him more. As a high school band director who is a guitar beginner, I think that Trevor is a fantastic teacher. He makes music and guitar fun, ensures you feel successful in each lesson, and is teaching quality information in a very logical order and pace.

I really enjoyed working with Kevin on my 4 song project. He helped me capture the passion in my music. He is very professional, knowledgable, patient, and an excellent composer. Kevin's turnaround time in producing my music was timely. I asked Kevin to collaborate with me on a film project and I am really stoked about the opportunity to learn from him. I highly recommend Kevin to enhance your music and bring it to the next level. His rates are great and money well worth spent for me. Review by NoizeFilter Music

Amir had been the guitar and drums teacher of my children. He had taught two of my children for over 5 years each, and has taken one of them through his music matriculation examination. Amir is not only a versatile and talented musician. He is also a wonderful teacher - kind, attentive, with a wonderful personal touch and ability to find exactly what is right for each student. Amir is highly involved in his students' music studies, even when they have musical endeavors outside of Amir's lessons. Thus he would attend their concerts and shows even if those events had not occurred under his personal guidance. My older son is today a musician himself, and Amir has a huge part in teaching him, encouraging him, mentoring him and supporting him on this journey. I recommend Amir not only as a musician and a teacher, but as a wonderful person. Anyone would be lucky to spend time with him.

Laura is a lot of fun to work with and very respectful and positive. She builds off of where you are and in my case, she never made me feel inferior for not being an amazing singer from the outset. I enjoy her positivity and she clearly has a joy of singing and music. The environment she teaches is also very down to earth and casual which is nice since I don't like sterile studio environments after a long day of being in a sterile office. I have noticed progress so the value is there and I am having fun too. Highly recommend!

I have recently completed a 5 song project with Jake. It was clear from the beginning that Jake had great experience in music composition and production. His experience shines brightest when developing songs with background vocals and instrument accompaniments. Being our first project working together, Jake was both patient and honest; which is very important when recording marketable music. Most of his musical ideas added great value to my songs. I would describe his musical ear as appropriate and clever. I'm a believer that all music has a direction, a message. Jake clearly supports this notion. Put simply, Jake was a pleasure to work with. He will challenge you and tell you what he believes. This will ensure the best possible product.

Nick can play several different instruments fluently and is an amazing guitar player. He is also a really good instructor and does a great job of explaining the basics of guitar playing. Whether you are a beginner like me or more advanced and looking to improve you'd be hard pressed to find anyone better. He can hear in almost perfect pitch so whether it's vocals or instruments you're looking to learn you won't be disappointed. One thing I appreciate is that he's a no nonsense kind of teacher. He expects you to want to put in the necessary time and energy to improve. If you don't care enough to put in the effort then he won't hold your hand. He will make every effort to work out a schedule but if you flake or are not fully committed then he will not work with you. But if you are really serious about learning the guitar, keyboard, or vocals then you should definitely give him a call.

We hired Taylor to produce a song our daughter wrote. He was very professional from the moment I contacted him. He communicated with us quickly and often, and sent us ideas within 1 day. He quoted a very reasonable budget, and stuck to it. He had a lot of fantastic ideas that improved the song. When we met with him in his studio, he didn't waste time, but started working the minute we arrived. There are a lot of talented musicians, but it is rare to find one who has talent, AND knows how to run a business. Taylor is one of those! We look forward to working with him again on other projects.

I met Chris through a mutant friend when I was interested in learning guitar. From the very first lessons with Chris I learned firmly well how to play the guitar , finger and body positions, technic , music theory everything in a very disciplined manner. While he has a profound and stable classical background he was able to teach me almost every kind of music. I really enjoyed his lessons with him ,I would still be his pupil if had´nt to move for professional reasons.

Ulrich is probably the best guitar instructor I have taken lessons from ever and here is why. Guitarists especially ones that like to play rock love to go fast and tend to develop sloppy techniques. Ulrich teaches you expression and how to make the notes come alive with color and feeling. In just 2 lessons teaching me basic BB King and Santana styles made all the difference and opened a whole new world on guitar for me. Music on any instrument is a journey and to be approached as an explorer.Guys like Satriani and Vai are always exploring and going into deeper dimensions with the sound. Ulrich can help you explore like those guys. The possibilities are endless and Ulrich is a wonderful musician, that has the kindness and patience to get you there relatively quickly. I like that Ulrich makes a CD recording of the lessons for review which has helped me a whole lot. I plan on taking more lessons in 2016 and seeing more of his creations at concerts. Hes one of those musicians that just gets better and better and better and realizes that all the formal schooling and degrees was only the beginning. Definitely worthy of being called a Guitar Guru or Medicine man of the guitar. Yes some can amaze you with the guitar...Ulrich can amaze you and teach you how to do it as well. I'm honored I crossed paths with Ulrich and Sabine Ellison---2 wonderful people I'm blessed to know.

I scheduled studio time with Sound Museum. The service was awesome! Josh knows his stuff and was able to verbalize how he would attack my project based on the sound I explained I wanted. Can't wait to see how the music comes out! A+++

About

I'm a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who can play solo acoustic as well as with my band, Mike Dubose and The Dissidents. I'm also able to run sound (for another act). I just released an acoustic CD called "Head Above Water" produced by Bill Teags, and recorded/mixed by legendary Grammy-winning engineer/producer Stuart Sullivan (Willie Nelson, Sublime, James McMurtry, Jimmie Vaughan, and many more). Mike Dubose is what Bob Dylan would sound like if he had grown up listening to punk rock! Already critically acclaimed, Mike is a homegrown Austin, TX singer-songwriter. Having grown up around the talent that has sprung out of Austin, such as James McMurtry and Tish Hinojosa, Mike has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Pete Seeger, Elliott Smith, Indigo Girls, Foo Fighters, Son Volt and Wilco. When the CD "Head Above Water" was originally discussed, it was going to be a total rock-band project. However, once inside Wire Studio in Austin, it quickly became evident that an acoustic approach suited the songs. Mike always writes on acoustic guitar, so it seemed only natural that the audience should get to experience the songs as they were written. With the engineering expertise of Stuart Sullivan, producer Bill Teags enlisted the help of local Austin musicians Danny Levin (cello), Amanda Kitchens (accordion), Sumner Erickson (tuba), and Diana Bruschke (backing vocals), to bring life to Mike's musical ideas. Each song on this CD has a story that is told through well-crafted and thought-provoking lyrics. Accustomed to the painful side of life while vowing never to give in to any affliction, Mike's lyrics bring you into each story. You can feel the raw emotion just underneath the surface, waiting to capture your mind and draw you in. For example, "Head Above Water" is about struggling with depression and the will to survive through a painful healing process. "George the Prophet" is a commentary about the damage to our liberties that is prevalent in American politics, and how we are allowing ourselves to be morphed into an Orwellian state. Pain, anger, hurt, and joy are all exposed in "Jane Doe #5", a song about two women, and how irrational life can turn out. - Review of "Head Above Water" from CDBaby So, give me a call, and we'll discuss your project!

About

On voice lessons or vocal coaching ; I guess because i always keep a positive attitude ! I am honest without being mean or discouraging to people who are trying to learn or improve ! I do have one disclaimer too..... If a person cannot carry a tune at all it means they are "tonedeaf" there is no help for that and a lot of people are tonedeaf and do not know that they are ! So if a tonedeaf person comes to me wanting me to help them sing i have to decline because there is nothing that can help them but God and He would have to give them a miracle , like giving a man born blind his eyesight !

About

Positive, positive positive! Big smile! Music makes everything better! My goal is to teach you how to perform on your instrument in a manner that is specific to your goals. Do you want to write your own music and record an album, do you want to try out for the church choir, do you want your Mom to leave you alone about taking up an activity or do you want to blow your friends out of the water on Karaoke night? I want you to be a success and feel it in every part of you. The fewer lessons you need the more successful teacher I am. Why? I am communicating to you in a way that works just for you! No one should spend the rest of their life in a music studio taking lessons. Piano, guitar and classical singing take longer to develop. However if you want to focus on pop-singing it should not be a long journey. If you are a beginning piano, guitar and classical singer you may need more in depth training there are ways to keep it fun and even incorporate performance if you are comfortable.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
